The Life Coaching Handbook: Everything you need to be an effective life coach

The Life Coaching Handbook is an invaluable resource which I recommend for anyone considering a career as a Life Coach. I used this book as a steadfast companion to my Life Coaching Diploma and found it provided simple-to understand and structured coaching strategies to use with my clients. It is a very informative read, flows well, and not only covers the basics to life coaching, but also extends to NLP techniques and ideas - and how to set up a successful life coaching practice. It really is an all-encompassing book. Highly recommended!

I have bought another copy of The Life Coaching Handbook, as I'm thinking of starting a new business. When I originally bought this book, it actually changed my life and career. It inspired me to become a Life Coach and I went on to have my own Life Coaching and Business Coaching businesses. Life Coaching is very powerful and the book covers a huge amount of useful topics, including the different communication styles you can use and how to ask clients open questions. It also gives guidance on building a coaching practice, together with many other valuable coaching tools. I can highly recommend this book to learn how to be a Life Coach and also how to communicate well.

This will be my first review ever. I just had to say somthing, since reading this book i have been telling everyone i meet about it, and practising the techniques especially the self talk interupt process. If i didnt learn anything else from this book it would of been money well spent. reading this book has opened a new world for me to discover i am no longer the the trapped wasp crashing into the window time and time again those who have read the book already will know what i mean. After reading this book i realised that there was nothing else i could do but change. The challenge it brought me was wonderfull and the proceduures to achieve my potential and goals gave me assurance that my life can achieve a lot more than it has done so far. I think this book is great at hitting the basics of coaching, but it does feel quite dated. If you're wanting to build an online business, this book wont go into marketing that way. It also mentions niching as an aside, but these days most people want to specialise What this book does is give you some basics. So if that's what you're looking for, you wont be too disappointed.

If you are thinking about becoming a life coach this is the book for you. Not only is it inspirational it also has practical information about how to set up a life coaching practice. It is in three distinct parts the first dealing clearly and effectively with life coaching basics, how to start a practice and make a success. The second part comprises of very clear and simple to follow usage of NLP within life coaching. There are several case studies and examples which make the process not only interesting to read but also easy to put into practise. The final part uses an adaptation from the Spiral Dynamics double helix model to clearly define its uses in life coaching. Not an easy task but one which the author has achieved excellently. I highly recommend this book not only for life coaches but also for anyone involved in the coaching world. A must have book. I hope you enjoy and benefit from reading this book as much as I have.

Curly Martin has written a wonderfully helpful, refer to, book here in The Life Coach Handbook. I enjoyed this book enormously as a personal development enthusiast and found it invaluable as a guide on my journey towards becoming a Life Coach. The two distinct sections lend themselves perfectly to easily find what you are looking for. The first section being geared towards defining the role and discussing the nuts and bolts of setting up a business, the second shedding light on the actual mechanics of Life Coaching. Both sections jam packed full of Curly's, obvious, experience, providing invaluable tips that will blow your mind and save you years of hard earned lessons. I would whole heartedly recommend this book to anyone who is either currently or is interested in becoming a Life Coach as well as someone who loves personal development.

I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to set up your own coaching practice. I searched for A LOT of life coaching courses and stumbled on Curly Martin. Her book and her course was even recommended to me by a competitor who agreed that the Curly's course was the right one for me - globally accredited. What I really enjoyed most about the book is the definition of some of the NLP language was simplified. Very inspirational. This has really made me start my life coaching practice a lot quicker than expected and I'm glad as I've already helped a lot of clients improve the quality of their lives!

I pre-ordered this book and couldn't wait for it to be delivered! It did not disappoint! I was totally impressed with her Beautiful Faces book and even more blown away by this one! The way she breaks things down and simplifies them makes it so easy to understand. Jane is an inspiring and caring teacher who makes you believe in your ability to draw and encourages you to do it. Her drawings alone are inspiring and she also has tutorials to go along with her books so you can watch her draw and paint her sketches. Seriously, the images alone are worth the price of these books.

Excellent guide for life coaching

I am just a beginner to this life coaching. I have done some training sessions so a bit of knowledge is there. This book is super easy to follow and is nicely compacted so one can't get distracted. some amazing techniques followed with some examples to fully understand it. Would recommend to anyone who is wanting a nice compact understanding and to someone who needs a push in which direction to start. It is definitely not a one time read as there are so many helpful things to keep in mind. LOVE IT. BUY IT.

Man wird gut in die Praxis des Coachings eingeführt. Mit vielen guten Beispielen und Erklärungen. Besonders die Analyse von verschiedenen Typen von Klienten und wie man auf sie eingeht hat mir gefallen. Empfehlenswert.
