Meet Rusty..
Rusty is an 11lb angry bag of pure meat.He can go zero to MACH 3 in 2.8 seconds, and change directions on a dime.He once “single handedly” took on the neighborhood 40lb beagle, was winning, until the beagle simply picked him up by the ear..If you have a “vicious creature” like Rusty, this harness is definitely for you.So, he was right on the edge of XS/S.I ordered the XS and still have some room to expand a bit. This is well made. Point blank, and you can tell. Sturdy buckles, well padded and supportive for when he runs out of leash and gets whiplash. (Not kidding.)Love it.. ordering a back up harness, and one for my lazy dog.. will be nice to be able to grab them by the handle when needed.. a must have.

Fit perfect!! Worked for pulling issues.
Valentine is an 11 mo old, 50 lb, pit bull/mastiff (razors edge pitbull) with a short muscular build. She measures 27 inches around her chest so we ordered the Large. Adjusted it slightly and it fit perfect with room for growth! I purchased for training purposes; she pulls hard and I'm trying to avoid using her pinch collar because it's banned for therapy dog training. I would highly recommended, good quality! I haven't tried it for pulling yet but will write back soon if it works! UPDATE: Took her on a walk yesterday and it worked great!!! Every time she tried to pull, I would say 'heel', and pulled back. She didn't seem to like that I was pulling at her chest. About halfway through the walk she was responding great and walking by my side. :) Happy mama!!!

From Hyper PULL to Perfect, persistent heel in Under 2 Minutes!
Miracle worker for a sweet, 3-4yr old 66lb lab/shepherd mix rescue that thinks she's training for the Iditarod whenever she's on leash. She PULLS like a Clydesdale. It took less than half a street and maybe five corrections on the leash for her to walk in a perfect heel position with this harness on. It's AMAZING!!!!I got the L harness in the vibrant hot pink fuchsia shade, and it's gorgeous. Adjusting the straps took a bit of work---she's deep chested with a long torso, 30" girth, so I really had to open up the neck and girth straps for it to fit properly. The color shows up beautifully against her black coat, and the reflective threading DOES work (but it will probably be obscured if your dog has long fur). Some background on my dog: She's got high energy, a high prey drive, and she's dog reactive following being attacked twice by off-leash canines. If another dog is in sight or within earshot, she likes to postion herself in front of me, and she doesn't want to let up that protective stance until she's convinced the other dog isn't a threat. With standard collars, she'd sound like she was on the verge of choking herself out from pulling so hard. Back attachment harnesses were better for her health, but still allowed her to pull. Leash boss handled leashes spared my palms and rotator cuffs some agony, and made her pulling more controllable--but didn't stop the behavior. Unfortunately, I have medical conditions that prevent me from being able to safely use correction collars and halters like the Gentle Leader, martigale collars, prong collars, or slip leads, and I don't know enough about e-collars to feel comfortable with using my dog as a guinea pig until I figured it out.She had absolutely NO leash manners when I got her, and aside from the momentary relief provided by verbal corrections and/or a leash tug, I could always count on having a daily "battle of the block" before she calmed down enough to heel. She's very, very sweet, and eager to please---she just has tons of energy, I don't have a fenced in yard, and as much as I would love to take her for a run, I'm physically incapable of it.This harness succeeded in getting her into a perfect, persistent heel within a minute a half. She remained heeling during our maiden walk even when it started to rain, even when someone knocked over a 60lb trashcan on the curb in front of us, even when another dog decided to do some fence chasing and raise a ruckus howling and charging the wooden posts, and even when two other dogs across the street started lunging, snarling, and barking their heads off at her as their owner walked them.If your dog is a reactive 'puller' you have an idea of what a miracle that is.

Easy to put on
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have a french bull dog mix and needed a heavy duty harness. This is exactly what I was looking for. Easy to put on . I had bought other harnessss that fell apart. It also has a reflector on it so you can see in the dark. Even my dog likes it. He fetches for it when we are getting ready for a walk. Love it !

You should get this
Pretty good product and great value. Well-constructed, feels sturdy but still lightweight enough for casual walks. Larger chest piece seems to make for a more comfortable walk. I have a 56 lb pitbull, for reference. It should, however, be noted that I measured my dog's chest and at 27 inches the sizing guide suggested a Large, which was too small, even at its largest. I exchanged for an X-Large, which she is barely big enough for. She wears it almost at its smallest. Maybe my dog is just a weird in-between size. If your dog has similar lean/athletic build with a deep-chest, I would size up.*I wanted to update my original review, I've now had a couple of these in different colors in rotation for a few years and have not had a single issue with it breaking or opening and my dog can be a bit of a rascal every now and then so am very pleased with how sturdy it is

fitting can be a bit of trial and error and a bit of a pain (especially if your dog has long fur) but once you find the balance between how tight neck and chest should be you're good to go
bought one to test out on one of our dogs that is a monster puller. fitting can be a bit of trial and error and a bit of a pain (especially if your dog has long fur) but once you find the balance between how tight neck and chest should be you're good to go. it's easy to put on once you have everything adjusted right.i got this harness after looking for other solutions for a strong pulling dog and a chest attached leash seemed to be a good option. when shopping around for a harness, i kinda had a laundry list of criteria. i wanted it to function not only as a no pull harness but a regular tracking harness that attaches to the back. in addition to having two points of control, i wanted a harness that i could use with a walkie dog system or for loose lead training. i wanted something in a high visibility color, or even better reflective. there are times when our only option is to walk our dogs at night (texas summer, ugh) and wanted some additional safety. this thing meets all that criteria.it worked out pretty darn well for our first dog that i got another for our other dog. he doesn't have pulling problems but i like that they but have very functional high visibility vests now.

Great pug harness
I bought this harness (medium) for my 1-year old pug (about 20 pounds). We have been looking for a good harness for our dog about as long as we’ve had him. I decided to take a chance on this one after seeing another dog wearing it at the dog park. Very glad that I did.Things I like:- it’s a solid and well made harness that stands up in various weather and levels of activity- it’s very affordable compared to similar harnesses- has a strip of reflectors for walking in the evening/at night- dog is comfortable wearing it- has buckled on either side to facilitate putting it on/taking it off- has metal loops on the top and front for a leash- has an erect handle on back to control dog or pick him up (small dogs)- is low enough on his chest that it does not pull on his neckThings I don’t like:- has to go over dog’s face/head to put on- it’s pretty bulky, and I’m not sure if it’ll be too hot in the summer- adjusting the straps at first is a little annoying (especially hiding the ends in the harness)Overall I would recommend this harness, especially to other pug families. The medium size fits my dog perfectly with room to grow in the straps. Very happy that I took a chance on it!

Great harness
Great fit and function. I have a GSP and this harness fits him perfectly. The rings are well designed , placed and made of metal. The front mount ring is great for those days the dog is tugging. Buckles are very strong and well placed. The harness has a little give to it so it is comfortable for the dog.Definitely recommend

Great harness, but not for pulling
We use this harness for our young Siberian husky. It's durable, comfortable and easy to use. We switch between the front clip and back clip depending on whether or not we're letting him do some light pulling (which he loves to do). Keep in mind that this is not a proper pulling harness though - if that's what you're looking for you need to search specifically for a racing/pulling harness. If he pulls too hard wearing this harness his breathing is impacted because it's designed for walking only. But for walking it's fantastic - I'd buy it again for that purpose.
