Needed a shorter handle for brushing water line tile
We had been having trouble with algae on our pool's water-line tile and were looking for a relatively short handle to use with a wire brush. This has been a good solution. We use two of the sections with the brush and it's just the right length for comfortable brushing the tile. If you're looking for a longer pole, I would suggest going with one that is truly telescoping but if you're looking for a shorter pole (like me), I'd suggest this one.

Not telescoping pole
This skimmer pole doesn’t telescope. You can remove or add the lengths of pole. Other than that, it’s a good pole.
