1" Inch AISI 440 Stainless Steel Bearing Ball G25 Precision - 2 PCS

Not stainless steel, I'm a welder and I welded one of these to a 316L stainless steel base plate. And the ball turned black. I suspect it is a chrome steel ball. I also dipped it in a pickling acid to remove the surface color. Then tried polishing it to a mirror finish. Base plate came out shiny. But not the ball.

I use these to weigh down hops in beer while fermenting. A lot of the Chinesium stainless balls somehow still seem to rust and pit. However, this one did not. I am confident in leaving these for 7-10 days without any leeching of metals into the beer. I'd recommend these over the other units sold on Amazon.
