Good supportive and easy to use!
Feels very stable and is easy to operate and lock into place. As I age, tools like this are more important to me.

Simms offers the best thought out products.
Live in Montana, it is vital to have good fishing equipment.

Why wouldn't you own one?
This is a must have for fly fishing. Especially when fishing at nightEasy to deploy and to disassemble. Comes with a great carrying case. Initially, I didn't want to burden myself with another price of gear. Now, I can't imagine not having.

Doesn’t get stuck in the mud Like my previous stick
I love that when poked into sticky mud and then lifted for your next step and staff placement, the mud doesn’t pull it apart like the much cheaper no-name brand staff that I had purchased on Amazon and used previously was prone to do.Yes, it’s expensive but - similar to going from $50 waders to $200+ waders, or from rubber-bottom boots to felt - you quickly forget the sting of the higher cost and appreciate the noticeably improved experience the first time you use it.

A sturdy stick
I expected a very expensive but sturdy, reliable stick that's easily portable, and that's what this is. It's an extravagant purchase, but one that may be worth it when I'm in a tough spot on a burly river.

The Bomb
I don't know if any wading staff is worth $150 but if one is, this is it. Impeccable craftsmanship. As a 68 year old with a penchant for fishing isolated areas, I need it. My only wish is that it came with some instructions since it is sort of complex.

Expensive as all h*ll. But an amazing product. Well worth the buy.
I won't lie. It's expensive. It's a stick. You can go cut a cane pole from the waters edge and get the same effect. But this thing excels at its purpose. It does a great job as a stick. Anyone whose fell in the creek can tell you how useful a stick is.But where it really shines is how easy is it to take out and put up. How little space it takes up on your person. How out of the way it is when it's not being used.In my opinion, and experience, what I take with me has to matter a lot. It gas to really 'earn' it's place. I hike into some pretty remote places. 6 or 7 hour hike for the shortest ones. Multiple days for the longer ones. If I'm going to carry it, it HAS to be important.I won't leave home without it.

Life saving staff
This product is fabulous and snaps together in seconds and locks in place. I used it in the high sierras wading in strong streams of water, and I could not have made it across without this unit. I would highly recommend it to anybody.
