Ergodyne Hi Vis Bomber Safety Jacket

I ordered this work jacket as its now getting cold and I needed something high visibility that is warm and can protect against water and wind. Upon reading reviews alot of customers say to order a size up. I ordered a size small and was worried that it wouldve been too small however upon trying it on the jacket fit so perfect on me as if it was almost tailored to me. I am 5'5 130lbs. I really like the snug fit though. If you want something that fits bigger on you than yeah size up but for me this jacket is absolutely perfect and the price cant be beat. Warm, heavy duty and well made jacket. For a downside the only thing is the collar likes to stand up on its own but if you fold it in a certain way it doesn't look too excessive. Other than that its great jacket!!

Great jacket especially for the price! Purchased for security work at a construction site with a lot of time spent outside in all kinds of weather. Warm and pretty waterproof. Best with appropriate layers in extreme cold. Looks good, highly visible, added some security patches which were simple to sew on. True to size. I've had it for a year, highly recommend, several fellow employees have purchased them also and are very satisfied.

I work in a quarry and needless to say temps during fall and winter hit around the pit of the quarry a bit harder than the surrounding flat land. This jacket is really warm! I will say that even though it says it's only water resistant i have stayed out in the open in a for 3 days in a storm that lasted for 3 days and it stays dry for about 3-4hrs before getting damp. Mind i work 10-12hrs. Honestly a very solid product for the price! Only down side is i normally wear a medium and ordered a large to be on the safe side and it does seem their sizes run a little smaller than normal but the large does fit if you wear a medium it's just a little snug.

Usually when a jacket is this well insulated but also feather light if you look at it strong it tears. Not this one. I've had this one for about 7 months now , though only daily wear about 2 of them , and it takes a beating at work. Because of the low price I really planned on using it as a wear only when not moving materials by hand but for fear of shredding but upon arrival I found the material to be like an old jacket I bought for mountain biking with a fabric called "rip stop " that was great when ripping through the woods on single track and no track trails . This jacket seems to be just as durable so far. My only gripe is the collar. I made the mistake of taking the hood out and they NEVER go back like from the factory , causing a high rise collar that annoys the snot out of me when I'm backing my forklift up long distances , around blind corners , and such . I've been tempted more than once to take the hood back out and cut it away from the jacket but there may come a day when I need it so I just put up with the annoyance . Dirt and grime come off readily in the wash but grease does not. Grease is there forever . It's not what is call water resistant if it's a heavy rain unless the one I got was missing the pu coating . I've worn it once in a heavy downpour and it was like wearing a cotton hoody but when it's not raining the jacket is very warm and blocks wind gusts in excess of 30mph at work . As warm as it is it is surprisingly easy to move around in and doesn't cause problems when I'm unloading windows , doors and other materials by hand or when pulling lumber orders . I believe ordering 1 size up from my normal is why it seems so roomy but not swallowingly so . I've purchased several items from the company over the years and their quality and value has been consistently good . Edit 2-5-22 Because the jacket has been taking a beating at work and other than being stained by forklift grease it's almost new looking . Some of the stitching along the stomach is gone but only near the zipper and it came from friction over and over again . I work a new job now , outside , and it is even more reliable . Because of this I wanted one for outside of work where I don't need high vis and the black caught my eye . I REALLY like the reflective tape being the same color as the jacket but it does get shiny when light from flashlights , headlights, etc shine against it . I definitely see why it's not osha approved but for night time wear it helps me be seen in low to no light conditions . It's the same bulletproof quality and has the same annoying hidden hood but I compromised and just left it out on my work one . I'll probably do the same with this one for a much more comfortable wear along my neck, whether zipped up or not . Edit 4-4-2022 . I found a "used like new" one that was half price and 1 day arrival in orange . It's just as well constructed, lightweight , and comfortable as my yellow one and black one . Now I can retire the old yellow one permanently and still have a class 3 jacket as needed . Orange doesn't show grease as readily as yellow does .

Great jacket! Size is true fit so don’t get a size bigger because you think your actual size might be too small, at least that’s my opinion. Pretty warm, nicely insulated, for extra pockets, did some power washing in under40 degree weather for 8hrs and it kept me dry and warm. 36$ can’t go wrong

Pretty thick and warm, color stands out as it should, lining inside is soft, pretty comfortable and not too bulky. Fits as expected.

Comfortable and warm....like very warm! Runs a little small and is a little bulkier than I thought, but the quality is good and it's pretty durable so far
