Enjoying these books and understand the need for artistic license, but there is no way the container story in a port can be done, even with artistic license. The body would either be loaded at the shipping address, or be reloaded in the port.But it did not distract from the story as such and enjoyed it very much

The main characters back story and the police work are well balanced. The plot is effective and keeps the reader turning the pages. The locations are believable and contribute to the plot. However I did find the occasional use of the word 'docklands' as a place name odd. The location is not called that by those who know it. I also found that there were a couple of 'tell not show' occasions but over all a very good read.

Read the first book on holiday. Ordered 2 more onto kindle whilst on the same holiday. Have read them all now since I got home. Read a few mins every night - good heroine who isn’t perfect but she works hard at being the best she can. Real life dramas with real life problems ups & downs. Would love to see them televised. Would be Happy Valley of the south.

Another classic Louise Blackwell story but definitely one of the strangest that I remember. A very good and interesting read.

A perfect read.

This is a rather disturbing read and I became too involved. DI Blackwell and her team are well characterised and although this is book 6 in the series it can be read independently. A body discovered in a shipping container and a missing persons case meet, to be solved. Well written and it moves swiftly along.

Thoroughly enjoyable story, the characters come alive and draw you into the drama. Having a good background to the key players makes for a much more gripping story because you are invested in these people and want them to succeed. The whole series has been good and I look forward to the next one.

Interesting story. Sad what people do to others with no concern regarding their actions. Of course the main character, Louise works hard to solve cases and does not stop until answers are found. Recommend and cannot wait to read book 7!

Another story by Matt with both intrigue and suspense plus a background of personal love and life entwined into an excellent read

This is a continuing series and it is best to start from the beginning. It is an intense, intricate and a bit creepy plot. This one is not for readers with claustrophobia. Realistic characters and twisted villains. Also a good police procedural.

This is the 6th book in the series and I have read them all …. all were enjoyable reads and kept my attention totally throughout.

As usual, I loved this Det. Blackwell story! And it has a very happy ending. Thank goodness! But, what a crazy (psychotic) whirlwind of a ride for the reader. I couldn’t put it down and raced to the finish to discover all the answers. This book is a real treasure!
