Back to basics
Years and years ago before pre-boxed haircolor I used Miss Clairol #27 and #28. This appears to be the same product. The box is #8, but the bottle is #27. Over the years I have used just about everything that’s out there.Buying this product brought me back to the beginning.I always liked that I can mix a little lighter with a little darker. One color doesn’t fit. When you buy individual bottles you can mix whatever you like. You can keep an open bottle tightly closed for a little while before it goes bad. I usually color my roots once a month.I used 20% developer.* I write reviews to let you know how this product was for me, and to aid you in your decision to buy or not buy.

My go-to color brand
I have been using Clairol for years. When I first started it was only like $3.99 for a bottle or tube at Sally Beauty supply. Now it’s $10.99 at Sally’s but only $7.44 at Amazon.
