Game Changer for Kayak Fishing
I will never again fish from a kayak without an anchor. If you’ve never used one, you just have Know idea how useful these are. This one was easy to install and has held up for a few months now. I’ll definitely put one on sent me kayak I get in the future.

Easy fix to a pulley problem
The media could not be loaded. I ordered 3 of these anchor trolleys for my boys and I. I’m glad I did, because one of them arrived with the pulleys incorrectly assembled. Fortunately, I installed the tan one first. Install is very easy. If you have any questions, there are lots of youtube videos on how to do it. When I tried to place the green pulleys, I noticed they didn’t sit flush like the tan ones had. They rocked, and when I pushed down on them a little, the pulley would stop rotating. I compared it to the black one I hadn’t installed yet and found the hub that holds on the pulley wheel wasn’t seated into the wheel. I was able to wiggle the hub loose and discovered the wheel had been installed upside down. There is a recess on one side for the hub to sit flush into, and the green ones were backwards. I flipped the pulley wheel over and reassembled it. There are only 3 pieces in the pulley assembly, so it’s easy to figure out, even if you aren’t mechanically inclined. Ideally, this would have come assembled correctly. In spite of this, I still believe the trolley is a 5 star product. I spoke with yakattack’s customer support while I was fiddling with it, just to confirm I wasn’t going to void a warranty. We are going into 4th of July weekend, and I was hoping it was something I could fix myself. They were very reassuring that even if I broke something while trying to fix it, or while installing it, I could go to a local dealer and get a replacement, even if customer support was off for the holiday. This install process would have been very frustrating if I didn’t have a correctly assembled one to compare it to. Or, if I had tried to install the green one first. Fortunately, it worked out with a minimum of headaches. I hope this review is helpful for anyone who runs into a similar situation, because the trolley really does work well when correctly assembled and installed.

Take your time
Went on a lifetime yukon. Not many flat areas to attach the system. The backing plates were the hardest part due to how my kayak is made, but still pretty easy to do.Nice heavy cord for the trolly.Had plenty of hardware to attach it to my kayak. Some of the instructions had strange wording but after watching several videos I had a pretty good idea about how to do the job. Can't wait to try it out.I may go back and silicone the screws.I guess my only complaint is there is no cool decals to put on my kayak from the purchase. Not a deal breaker on buying another system from here though.

Great product but needs better instructions
Great American made product with the lever lock allowing control over the position of the anchor in the trolley line. Would be nice if some shock cord was included. Also the instructions in the packet are vague and need improvement. There is an online video to help with install however even from the video the pulley orientation isn’t clear.

Easy to use, but be sure to get one for each side!
You probably don't have to get two, but I'm glad I did, it makes it a lot easier. Just put a spring clip on our anchor line, and switch sides as needed. But I like this design a lot better than the cheaper ones, you can lock the line in place if you want (although I found you really don't need to), and the channel mounts keep the line from riding up over the side of the kayak. Definitely glad I got these, they work great!

Easy installation
Very easy installation. I have a DIY stakeout pole and everything works. It even works with my mushroom anchor.

It's fine
Serves it's purpose. Kind of a pain to install and over priced, but it works well. The lever lock feature is kind of gimicky and I don't really use it. I think I'll probably go back to DIY on my next kayak.

Excellent product and outstanding customer service.
This is my third time buying the Yak Attack anchor trolley, I used it lots on my first kayak, sold my second one before I had a chance to try it. Now I have an inexpensive Ascend H10, and thought I add the anchor trolley, after it was all installed, I noticed the anchor line loop had a minor flaw in it, see photo. I gave it a few good tugs and twists and it seemed pretty solid, however I reached out to Yak Attack to let them know. I now have a new part on the way plus a new cord as well since I likely won’t be able to reinstall the old one without difficulty.Excellent service.
