Amazing to watch
This levitating plant pot is pretty cool. This review is for the black version, which looks great. The device uses a combination of permanent and electromagnets to levitate the pot. With the power OFF, the pot sticks to the base, near the edge. With the power ON, you can feel where the pot wants to be when you place it above the center of the base. Be careful, though. If the pot is off-center when you let go of it, it will get pulled to the edge of the base. Also, if you unplug it (or if the power goes out) while the pot is levitating, it will get pulled down to the edge of the base. A potted plant might get dumped out if one was in the pot. Of course, you can put other things in the pot up to the weight limit of 250 g (a little less than 9 ounces).Once levitated, the pot feels pretty stable. It is resistant to small perturbations - like you might make when trying to spin it. Speaking of spinning - if you do spin it up, it will spin for a long time. Also, it seems as if the magnetic field in the base is set to spin the pot at about 7 rpm. If you set the pot in place without spinning it, it will start to slowly spin, working up to 7 rpm after a while. UPDATE => The pot rotates only if it is heavier on one side. If the pot is empty, it hovers without spinning. If the weight in the pot is a little off-center, it tilts the pot slightly. This tilt must cause a small torque that spins the pot.

Affordable "hovering" plant stand
I have been obsessed with these since I saw something similar at my local nursery. I just couldn't justify spending that money on something, then I saw this. I LOVE this. Everyone that sees it says it looks awesome and my youngest is obsessed with it.Now for the cons:- I don't see how you could put anything other than air plants in it. That was always my intention, but if you purchased this for a succulent (even if small), I'm afraid it would make it too unbalanced and it would be knocked off too easily. This is the case with all of these I've seen (verified with the nursery), but I thought I would add this note since it says it can be used for succulents.- The "wood" of the base is obviously just covering on some plastic or something. Upon close inspection, it looks fake, but people are more distracted by the HOVERING PLANT to notice.- Be careful when putting the pot in place to hover. My youngest kept messing with it and now my base has white indentations from where the STRONG magnets slammed the pot to the base. They aren't too bad, but I thought that this should be included.Overall, this thing is awesome and our family loves it. It is pricy, but for right now, it seems much more affordable than what I can get locally.

I cant make it work, but my husband can!
We have it on an accent table with a rose from my wedding bouquet on it, and when it does fall down i CAN NOT get it to float, but my husband has a magic touch and i absolutely love that he can do it because if he couldnt make it float, i wouldnt have gave it a single star lol it is so frustrating! but apparently "once you understand how to get it in the right spot, it is easy to make it float" -my husband.

Mesmerizing
I got this levitating magnetic floating plant pot in black. It is very mesmerizing to watch. The pot itself is very small. Once you plug it in, you need to hold the pot with both hands, low towards the center and slowly let go. It started to spin right away, I still had it empty at this time but could not keep my eyes off it. You do need to be cautious, there is a very strong magnet that pulls it down hard when the power is disconnected or it’s out of balance. This is a cool and interesting piece.
