Looks very nice but isn't very strong
I got this because I get neck stiffness and muscle strains in my neck and shoulders. I usually get deep tissue massages every other week but it's not very economical. I purchased this massager hoping that it would help but it's not very strong, at least for me. If you're someone that doesn't like hard pressure, this will be fine for you but I needed something stronger. Other than that it looks nice, comes with many attachments and charges pretty efficient.

Does the job
I had got this one used after another unit i got was DOA. Luckily enough, it worked great through the HDMI ARC, which is what i needed it for. My new TV doesn't have RCA out so to connect it to my boses that are old while still being able to control the volume, i needed an ARC converter. And this does the job. It works fine, it lets me control the volume, and thats all i need. There is a slight buzz when theres nothing on, but its not that loud and the way my tv is, i cant even notice it when its on. Other than that, it's been working fine and i dont have to many complaints.Although, one time it stopped working for a min. But when i unplugged it and turned it back on, it worked fine.

Great little home theater DAC!
I've been using this for the past six months on a recent Samsung "Smart" TV where the only external audio options are Bluetooth (blech!) or eARC. For my stereo speakers, this works great! I have it connected to the TV using HDMI as an ARC device, and to my speaker amp over RCA, and I'm able to control the volume using only the TV remote.Sound quality seems good. I don't have the expensive testing equipment needed for a Proper Audio Review™, but in regular use I've never heard any pops, hums, or noticeable distortion from it. It certainly has enough clarity for my cheap bookshelf speakers. And while I haven't tested other configurations, I haven't had any problems with audio being delayed.I'm happy with the built quality and overall design. The metal case feels good, and since my TV powers its USB ports even while off, I can conveniently power the DAC with them instead of needing yet another wall wart or power brick. (Another reviewer experienced noise when their TV cut power, so you might want to have an old phone charger nearby while installing, just in case.)Two things to be aware of: unlike the TV's built-in speakers, this DAC doesn't show the volume level on screen when I adjust it. There's only a + or - indicator. In addition, the volume output starts out at maximum when the TV is turned on. However, after digging around on various audio forums, these seem to be issues with Samsung TVs in general, and not something specific to this product. There are also reports of LG TVs having the same problems.Overall, I'm very satisfied with what this DAC can do for less than $30.

Didn't work although not a surprise really
Extracting an SACD audio stream from an HDMI port is very tricky due to copy protection issues. I have tried a number of similar devices and two of them worked (but not this one), trying three different SACD DVD players) and one worked beautifully. If you want to play an SACD disk, you need a device like this otherwise you will not get the SACD quality you paid for. You might be able to "play it", but unless you have some way of knowing otherwise, you will likely be hearing just CD quality, not SACD quality and often the DVD player will tell you that it will not play the CD even though the DVD player is advertised as an SACD player! My suggestion is if you want to play SACDs, at the quality you paid for, buy the cheapest SACD you can find and use it for test purposes with an external DAC that reports on the bit rate. If it reports 44/48 KHZ, then you are only hearing CD quality (if any and only if it's a hybrid SACD). It needs to report at least 88 KHZ, ideally 176 KHZ or more. Trust me, you will hear a difference! You can do some homework on this issue on the web. All audio extraction boxes need to be tested. It is legal to use these boxes because you own the SACD.

It works but could be better.
1- Audio is somewhat low.2- The volume can be controlled by using 3.5 mm headset output. The SPDIF output acts just a pass-through. This is not advertised, you have to realize this until you buy and read the manual.3- Considering this, the audio is currently better than the TV although is not the best.4- One thing a little annoying is when you turn of the TV. The USB port get also turn off , so the device also get off. When this occurs, the speaks emits a sounds like a capacitor getting discharged. This is really annoying.

Output lags input
I bought this so I could keep my home theater speakers plugged in even when they're not being used.Hookup was simple and was able to get sound from the TV with everything connected. Problem solved, I thought. When I turned on the home theater speakers, I was getting what sounded like a strong echo coming from the home theater speakers. This went away when I muted the TV.Then I tried the same thing with the optical soundbar and stereo outputs. Echo in each when the TV speakers were on. Good sound from each when TV was muted. With the TV muted and all three outputs on at the same time, everything sounded perfectly synchronized, but with the TV speakers on, everything sounded weird. Turning down the TV volume made no difference since that also controls the input volume to all my devices.I'm currently using the optical input to this device. Listing says SPDIF throughput has no delay but that's not what my ears tell me.I will try using the ARC input once I get another cable. If that fixes the issue with audio lag, I would give this unit a better rating.

Quality unit, variety of input/output options
I wanted to connect a new TV to my old receiver to get the audio through some large Polk Audio speakers. I had planned to use the HDMI (ARC) from TV to the unit, but I couldn't get any sound. I checked everything! I was about to order a new HDMI cable, when I decided to try the Optical cable (comes with the unit) and it worked! It is nice that there are a few options for inputs and outputs with this unit. I had been using headphone output on my previous setup and learned to live with "hum." Using this unit and the Optical output from the TV, there is no hum, just good clean sound!
