Wonderful (and wonderfully imperfect) Characters
This book was a 4.5 stars for me. It's an adventure that any pre-teen would love. The characters are funny and real...complete with a school staff that is tired, bored, and snarky. Our three main characters learn to trust one another even through their flaws. Mia is my favorite! One of the chapter titles is called "Trust is One Hell of a Thing" so just a warning for parents. Also, the book could've used a bit more editing. Example: "They turned to look at him slowly with both confused and understanding looks in their eyes." I couldn't figure out how a look could be both at once. With a bit more editing, this book would be a 5-star for me. It's a whimsical and wacky ride with great illustrations!

I really enjoyed reading "The Adventures of Pick Pock, Tick Tock." It had me cracking up the whole way through! But the best part is that it's not just all jokes - there's actually a powerful message about self-belief and the importance of surrounding yourself with supportive people. A Fast-Paced Crazy Adventure
The three main characters find themselves in some crazy situations, and really that’s enough to keep anyone entertained, but what really makes this book shine is the brilliant character development. Three very different but highly relatable characters, Mia, Rad, and Eric find they must trust one another and work together if they want to succeed. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is that it could have used a bit more editing to make the copy flow.

Heart warming themes - but a bit confusing
This book reminds me of Alice in wonderland. It follows the journey of three children, all with very different personalities, who find themselves in a strange forest.I enjoyed the descriptions in this book. I especially liked Mia, who’s a strong female protagonist.I thought the over arching theme of trust was well done. The one thing I struggled with was making sense of some of the plot of the adventure. It is never explained if it was all virtual reality or if there was really monsters in the forest.Overall I enjoyed this book. Would recommend to children who like dreamlike fairy tale type adventure books.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I laughed many times while reading. I like the story line thatthree unlikely friends have to work together to overcome obstacles. A lesson is taught that we can all co-operate and work along with each other, no matter our differences. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
