Good coverage but does stain towels
I really like how quick and easy this was to use with one bottle. My grays were easily covered. I didn’t shampoo after I applied and I continued to see color on my towels for several days.

Good product
I really like this product. I use it in between colorings. Great price, lots of color choices. Easy to use once you figure out the instructions. Some reviews mention that there are no instructions, when actually there are 5 little pages in various languages on the back that you have to separate. It's tiny white print on a beige background. Ridiculous. That's why I took one star off of my review. Other than that, I still recommend it.

Best Semi-Permanent Color for Graying Hair
Update: I've been using this for years now and it's SO amazing. I have lots of grays in my hair now, but this transforms them into pretty reddish and blonde highlights with the rest of my hair dark mahogany brown. Meanwhile, it also makes my hair smoother overall and way shinier. Still get tons of compliments.Tip: I recommend using a hair paintbrush if you want to make sure you get good coverage of your grays. As far as a few people saying the product dried their hair out, I have to wonder if they are not familiar with the feel of semi-permanent dyes and are confused by the feeling of the hair immediately after rinsing out the product - because the semi-permanent dye coats your hair rather than penetraing the shaft, your hair might feel a little strange while its still wet. (Sometimes I even have to condition the tips of my very long hair to detangle.) But once dry, my hair is smoother and healthier and stays incredibly nice following.__I'm so hyped that I discovered this. It's perfect. It's semi-permanent, so don't expect it to penetrate the shaft like a permanent dye would. Rather, it will coat the hair so that, for example, my grays now appear tinted faintly brown or red––just enough to blend in with my medium/dark brown hair, while the rest of my hair takes on a lovely reddish tint and incredible shine. (I met friends at the park after my first use, and they couldn't stop commenting on how great my shine was.) Most semi-permanent colors just aren't strong enough to do anything for grays, but this absolutely does its job. And you get the ease of semi-permanent color. This is great for me because my hair has been getting a handful of grays, too many to hide at this point, but I didn't want to cross the bridge into permanent hair color––too much maintenance, or $$$ at the salon. I'm already familiar with semi-permanent dyes because I always loved to tint my hair red.

4r Mahongany Red Brown
I was looking for a dark auburn and this is shade of that. I'm 68, darker brown, medium+ length hair with perhaps 25% gray. My gray is coming in beautifully and I just wanted to add some auburn highlights, so I thought I would try this semi-permanent coloring as it said 50% gray coverage which would be perfect.I got 100% gray coverage! However, next time I shampoo I will add some baking soda to the mix and that should remove some of the dye so the gray shows through. Baking soda is a natural hair dye remover that is not hard on the hair or skin.LOVE IT! I swear I look 10 years younger! I have half the bottle left, so when I run out of this I may just go and buy some permanent dark auburn dye and try that as highlights.I shampooed, squeeze dried, combed and brushed the coloring in, wrapped in a turban for 35 minutes. Shampooed and dried and am so happy! Buy it! :-D
