Q: is is safe to have these sent to northern climartes, its freezing out side right now. is the shipping box insulated?

We ship them in insulated boxes along with a heat pad. However, if temperatures are below 15 degrees the heat pads will stop working and plants will freeze. So I'd recommend ordering during a warmer period or only if temperatures are closer to 20-30s.

Q: how many sets would be good for a 55g tank? the desc. says just 10+ gallons. 30 plants seems a lot for 10g

Keep in mind that there are 8 species, of which there are 30+ stem plants. A single bunch of plants, can have 6-8 stems plants in it (similar to how roses are sold). For a 55 gallon, you should have at least 2 of these bundles but this also depends on the density you want and whether or not you have other decorations like driftwood, rocks, etc.

Q: Are they relatively free of planaria and/or snails? i am most concerned about planaria. i will dip, but i just to know what i am getting into.

I received my plants packaged beautifully and pest free. I put them all into a bucket of spring water and let them soak in there for 24 hrs. I kept checking for any signs of snails that I had heard horror stories about on several different blogs. Planaria? Those are those flat worms, right? I have found nothing riding for free in my package. Very nice plants, though. I am please with my purchase. I have them in two different tanks, because there are plenty of them and they have really taken off.

Q: Want to buy this, but it cant ship to my address for some reason. How do I address this issue? or is one of the plants illegal here in California?

Please contact us, we are in California so we can ship them intrastate. One of the species cannot be imported to California from out of state thus the restriction.
