Exact fit for 2/0 welding cable
I was worried the inner diameter would be too small for the 2/0 welding cable. Plenty of room putting the stripped cable into copper. I pack my fittings with grease, then put the cable in. The grease prevents corrosion inside the lug. I live in the northeast.........salt on roads, corrosion, etc. Former chief engineer on an ocean going tug......saltwater=corrosion. Add in heat and electricity and oxygen in the air and you have corrosion. The grease displaces the air within the fittings and strands of copper. Also helps to prevent moisture/water migration between the strands and outer rubber insulator. I used a hydraulic crimper that I purchased on Amazon years ago......nice tight fit. Then I put shrink tube over the finished crimp. All in all..........nice lugs, cheap money..........certainly less expensive than the welding store!!
