Girl on the Shore, A

Asano's story telling always resonates with me and hits hard right in the feelings. It's a perfect read for any teenager or mature reader and the artwork is simply sublime.

Primarily a story about relationships. Does not shy from showing early sexual experiences. I found the characters more human for the flaws shown. The end shows personal growth though it is both saddening and cheering.

I personally believe this to be an amazing 2 volume series, others may disagree and i can understand why. Listen to me when i see this is not for everyone… you have to look at his story deeper to really see what’s going on if you take it as face value content then this will not have the same brilliant effect of surrealism. I highly recommend you check this series out. However if you don’t like it then don’t be put off by the author altogether as many who read this and did not like it went on to read asanos other stuff and enjoy it substantially.

inio asano is one of my favourite authors this book is captivating whilst still leaving you left confused and developing a pitiful emotional attachment to the characters, beautiful artwork as always if suicide and sexual intercourse make you uncomfortable then i would check out a different book by inio asano.

I really liked this. Both art and story. I think people should look at the reviews before buying. It is, definitely, for a mature audience. I will be re reading in the future.

The manga had beautiful drawings! I didn’t realise it would be as ranchy as it was.. but the artwork was lovely. The story itself was a little weird, I thought the ending was a bit cut off.

É muito bonito, a capa tem uma textura suave e o livro apesar de resistente não é pesado. As folhas são pouco amareladas, o suficiente para não doer os olhos ao ler. O conteúdo eu já considero algo que pode incomodar alguns - pela sua explicitude -, mas que retrata uma história curta bem crua a cerca dos anseios da adolescência. Recomendo.

Soy fan de Asano así que elogiar el dibujo y la historia es de ley. A diferencia de otras obras no considero un final triste o algún suceso deprimente durante el desarrollo. La edición me gustó mucho, algunas páginas a color. El concepto general de la historia es sencillo y cobra sentido al final.

Went into this story relatively blind and it being my first Inio Asano work and I'm happy I did. I think the graphic content may not be comfortable for everyone but if you're able to get through it you'll be rewarded with a story with heavy themes that is beautifully told.

The quality of the manga is good . And their packaging was also good.

I bought this to prepare myself for Goodnight Punpu and wasn't expecting much, but it ended up becoming my favorite manga. I never thought a story this short would make me feel an intense set of emotions as this one did. Explicit content by the way.
