This is something that has been ignored for long by all of us. And is definitely the need of the hour. Children should be raised to care for community animals and what better way than to include this in their curriculum.The story has a very smooth flow and introduces compassion and sensitivity towards animals around us. Also opens scope for thought and ideation to various environmental hazards that our current lifestyle is causing to them and us.Lakshman has kept it simple, crisp and at the same touched vital aspects of animal welfare. The book is very insightful, intriguing and educating and a must read for all.

Ehile reading I realised that we all wished in our childhood to help animals as much as possible way but our non friendly family and environment made us to get distance with our compassion. But bunty was lucky and with him I do again boosted up my inner child to come out and get involved in every little activity to help animals and environment. Definitely do gift this to your buddies at every age because to be compassionate again age is not required.
