Incredible, heartwarming, sad but full of love
This is soooooo much better than the first book, the story is absolutely heartbreaking and heartwarming. The love experienced by the characters is so beautifully written, when a book makes you cry, several times, it’s a testament to the authors skills. Amazing!

A good read if you're a fan of the first book
I did enjoy this prequel to They Both Die At The End, it whiled away a few hours quite enjoyably. I won't go into the synopsis as you can find that elsewhere. The positives:-The characters were likeable and believable-There were some unexpected twists to keep you reading-Set in New York (for me, that's a positive)The negatives:-It does not answer questions you might have from the first book-The storyline is basically the same as the first book-It drags in placesOverall, Im glad I read it but wouldn't read it again.

Lovely story
This was such a wonderful story about life, love and loss. Orion and Valentino bonded so deeply and really made the most of their time together.

Another beautiful end-day
Set at the start of Death-Cast this story follows Orion and Valentino who meet at the Death-Cast launch party - a day which will change both of their lives forever, unfortunately only one of them get out of the story with a forever.I especially enjoyed how the incidental characters are weaved into the story - even though it's not immediately obvious how important they may be. I did shed a tear at the little cameo appearance of the young Mateo and Rufus (from the first book), a lovely little moment. As with the first book, the ending was heartbreakingly beautiful and I genuinely hope to get more tales set in the world of Death-Cast.

OK but not as good as the original
I was ready to fall in love with this book, and the end is gut-wrenching and emotional, but beyond that, there's a lot of surplus story that just drags the book out. It's a whopper at 550 pages long, but having said that chapters are very short and it's a surprisingly quick read. I did enjoy Orion and Valentino's storyline, but there were a lot of extra characters, some interesting, some not so much. There's also quite a lot of storyline that hints into the original book, which I don't think it needs as this book works as a stand-alone. It's difficult to make a book that follows the same format as the first into some new and unique, and I think that's what I was missing.

Brilliant!!
Book arrived promptly and in good condition! I had to reorder because the first one didn’t arrive and then we found it absolutely soaked in the front yard but that was more to do with the delivery rather than the product. It’s a great price for the book and if it’s anything like the first one it’s going to be a fabulous read! I cannot wait!!

What a beautiful story about living and loving. Keep the people who bring meaning to your life close and get far away from those who don’t see you as a precious

a great love story
This was totally out of the norm for me. The love story was great, the story was fast moving and just enough futuristic.A quick read, would be great in a holiday, I’m looking forward to the second story.

The First to Die at the End
I absolutely loved this book, just as much as I loved "They both die at end" and any other book written by Adam!
