Qixels Fuse Blaster Playset

Our 7.5yr old son got this from Santa and was over the moon - so much so that he immediately made all the designs (using all the beads provided). Be warned: your child will LOVE these, and refill packs will be necessary!After scouring about, it appears that unless you buy the refill packs (themed) the cheapest way to bulk up the bead count for your child to tinker with is to get the "designer" pack which has 1200 beads, to make them go further. Or, if they don't necessarily want to fix the items for hanging/display, there's nothing stopping them simply picking off beads from the little tray and reusing them (like Lego) providing the tray is dry and the beads are not dampened, or their creation will stick.As for fixing them, these seem to stick far more securely than Aquabeads/Beados do (which my daughter got for Xmas), so creations can stand up without bending - although the bright solid-coloured Aquabeads were also a massive hit with both my 4yr old daughter and 7.5yr old son (Beados feel flimsy by comparison for those interested).All in all, a great rainy-day craft for the whole family (my husband and I got involved too). But be prepared to buy more beads, and perhaps a pill/screw case to keep the colours separate...

very good toy. makes little creations in the "minecraft" style. the only bad thing is that it only made 4 designs and my girls completed this within a couple of hours, and now need a refill pk. (they will have to wait until christmas!) so 4 stars. however the water spray Blaster gun, has got alot more play time as they are now using it as a water pistol.

Purchased as a gift for my 7 year old son. Wonderful item although a little expensive. Easy to make the models as each of the cubes fits neatly onto the peg boards, spray gun works fantastic, but I would say leave a little more drying time, it states 30 minutes but we found it still very wet after this amount of time so left it for about 90 minutes then removed it from the board and turned it over for another 30 minutes to dry the back. Lovely display frames that appealed massively to my minecraft obsessed son.

Would have been nice if the instructions were in English! Almost had every language but. Much harder to place beads than hama beads my 6 year old got quite frustrated. Okay though

My boy of 6 years old, loves this. It's a great craft activity, with no mess.I like this because it's design as a unisex toy. This makes my boy feel more comfortable playing/ making.

Bought as a gift for friend's son as a request. Happy with the gift, he's had fun playing with the set. I got it cheaper than on the high street. Great.

My kids love playing with these, Qixels are very similar to Beados but are square not round, My son has enjoyed making all the patterns and we have now purchased some additional pieces so he can keep playing with it. My son is 7 and I feel it is helping with his small task motor and coordination skills.

The kids love these but there could really do with being more Qixels in it as they soon run out.The tray really needs a lid too.
