BUENO BONITO Y BARATO :-)

This bike computer does everything I could want it to, and it does it well. Here are the pros and (slight) cons. Pros: - Great, accurate GPS; even for speed reading, which agreed with my cateye computer which uses a speed sensor on the wheel. It never lost signal. - Bright, large and readable display with plenty of configurability in the app - A so far reliable and easy to use app which I have used to connect to strava and sync my rides - Build quality is perfectly good, especially for the price... can't see anything wrong with it yet. - Easily fitted to a Garmin mount - Cost about 1/5 of the cheapest garmin! - Easily connected a HRM from the app, not an iGPSPORT one either. - Battery life seems excellent Cons: - The altitude reading is incorrect initially before it calibrates, which makes me think it may be a GPS reading rather than a barometric altimeter which the website states that it does have. - As other reviewers have mentioned, you cannot mix imperial / metric, meaning that for us Brits, we must read the temperature in Fahrenheit if we want miles reading for speed and distance. - The logo is very big, personally I don't mind but it may be an issue for some But these two small niggles are far outweighed by the computer's qualities, and most of all, the incredible price. This really is good value for money.

I have tried budget bike GPS units from Xoss, Coospo and Cycplus but always found issues with some part of the product. Highly reluctant to pay Garmin money so I took a punt on the one brand I hadn't tried, iGPSport. Well, I wish I'd gone down this route first because this is an exceptional device backed up by a first rate standalone app. It's a decent size, build quality is the equal of say a Garmin 130 and and the display is clear and crisp. It is a breeze to setup including time zone, wheel size (if you use additional sensors) and the sensor pairing couldn't be easier, either through the app or unit itself. There is the ability to customise what info the four screens display but the choice is limited to parameters set by the app. In use it is faultless, easily connects to satellites and hasn't lost signal even under tree cover. Look elsewhere and cough up £200 extra if you want mapping or even more if you want turn by turn guidance. Post ride info supplied from the app is amazing including metrics you won't see or will cost a subscription to access on Strava, which the unit has an option to sync with. For £60 this is an outstanding bit of kit and I would thoroughly recommend it.
