The third season of the WB's small town soap begins with the blaze that ended the second ("Like You Like an Arsonist"). Dan (Paul Johannson) makes it out alive, but vows to seek vengeance on the perpetrator--even if that person happens to be estranged son Lucas (Chad Michael Murray). In the following episode ("From the Edge of the Deep Green Sea"), Dan's preferred offspring returns to Tree Hill. Will Nathan (James Lafferty) reconcile with wife Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti)? It's her deepest desire, but Nathan has his doubts. Further changes are afoot. Haley and Brooke (Sophia Bush), for instance, move in together...which wouldn't seem so strange if they were in college rather than high school. Brooke and Lucas also try a "non-exclusive" arrangement (her idea, not his). When sexy schemer Rachel (Danneel Harris) joins the cheerleading squad, Brooke starts to regret her decision. Meanwhile, the delightfully odious Dan runs for mayor. Just when he thinks he's got it locked, Lucass mother, Karen (Moira Kelly), throws her hat in the ring. But those developments are minor compared to the school shooting in episode 16 ("With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept"). Guest stars include Nada Surf ("Return of the Future") and season two favourites Fall Out Boy ("An Attempt to Tip the Scales"), while recurring characters include Peyton's birth mother Ellie (Sheryl Lee, Twin Peaks ), and smug singer/songwriter Chris (Tyler Hilton, Walk the Line ), with whom Haley collaborates again. As in the previous year, the finale ("The Show Must Go On") is a cliffhanger. Fortunately for fans, One Tree Hill was picked up by the CW, so resolution awaits in season four. Special features include commentary, deleted scenes, and a featurette about the making of "With Tired Eyes." --Kathleen C. Review: One Tree Hill's tha best! =D - Such a great series! I'm glad I bougth it. =D I bougth season 1-4 at the same time. Before I bought the series I watched a few episodes online and I'm glad I did. I decided to buy the series, so I can watch it over and over again. I can't get enought of One Tree Hill! When I watch an episode I almost can't stop again. The drama is so intense that I have to see what's happening next. So I can use hours just on that series. The show keeps getting better and better! So my advice is: just lean back and enjoy the drama in Tree Hill. You will not get disappointed! From desertcart you get a fast delivery, where the package is in really good condition when you get it - No broken DVDs or cases. The series was inexpensive (compared to the prices in Denmark) - I bought 4 seasons for the same amount of money I should have used for only ONE season in DK. I'll give the products a 5 out of 5 stars! <3 The service is a bonus ;) Review: Great Third Season - As with the two previous seasons, this one starts immediately after the end of the first with the fire at Dan's car dealership. It sees the kids entering the first half of their senior year at Tree Hill High School with the drama getting even better than before. With this season, the show has really got into it's stride with the confidence of the actors within their roles and the writing really coming together to produce some outstanding television. The box set contains all 22 episodes of the third season. As with the previous seasons there are plenty of extras including additional scenes on most episodes, commentaries on three episodes and a featurette on the making of an episode. If you have enjoyed the first two seasons, then this is an essential purchase.

ONE TO REMEMBER
Dan survived the fire and vows revenge, his evil machinations again to dominate - including a bid to be mayor, can you believe! Season 3 has disappointments - a few stories trite, a rather shallow newcomer creakingly stirring things up a bit. Not all the attempts at comedy work: some of the younger stars needing to know it involves more than speaking very quickly and waving arms around. Fortunately the strengths dominate: much of the writing, most of the cast. There are welcome returns of favourite characters, moving portrayals of teenagers trying to adapt to new circumstances: Lucas keeping secret his heart condition; Peyton out of the blue confronted by her biological mother; the marriage of Nathan and Haley in disarray. Outstanding (again) are Barry Corbin as Coach and Lee Norris as Mouth - spellbinders both, dominating the screen whenever they appear. As for Episode 16...! Here an already fine series attains new heights - at the High School, sudden horror. Although mirroring similar real life tragedies, sensationalism is avoided - a heartrending issue sensitively handled and provoking much thought. Cast and crew were deeply affected during the making. Also powerful is the episode that follows, those who were involved trying to make sense of it all. Despite occasional weaknesses (including unconvincing final cliffhangers), the season deserves its five stars. Although over fifty years older than the probable intended audience, I found much to applaud - not least the show's heart and integrity.

Perfect Escapism
I've been a One Tree Hill fan pretty much since it began and with the last season finished a couple of months ago I decided it was time to relive the dramas of the small town teens. I still think season 1 was the best but season 3 is definetly fun to watch and it's great to see the development of the characters. Groundbreaking episode 16 is a highlight too. Special features are good, the 10 minute documentry on the making of episode 16 was very interesting. Overall, I couldn't stop watching.

Season 3 Synopsis
Season 3 Senior year. A time to grow up, to forget, to forgive, to dream, to learn to love all over again. People come together -- except Dan, consumed by anger as he tracks down whoever started the fire that almost took his life. Tree Hill is rocked by powerful new events -- the good, the bad and the catastrophic. The good: Haley fights to save her marriage, Peyton comes to terms with her birth mother, Brooke creates a hot clothing line, and Keith comes home. The bad: Dan gets a rival for worst person in Tree Hill -- a conniving redhead named Rachel, the new girl at school. The catastrophic: Tragedy strikes Tree Hill High, and suddenly who wins the cheerleading tournament or basketball championship seems insignificant compared to who lives. And who doesn't.

My god this is amazing..
Season three is a phenomonal season for OTH. It strats of a bit slow, but soon kicks in, to the hormones that is their senior year. Everyone changes and grows us this season. Episode 3.16 leaves you flabbergasted to what has happened. The reason why this season is so good that it plays on true emotions of characters and shows it like it is. Best seaso finale that leaves you hanggi till the gripping season that is season 4.

Naley forever
This show just gets better and better every series. This series involves everything from a school shooting to a wedding. The show itself is great and has everything that a lot of British shows don't have in them which is amazing music every episode has music which reflects the characters emotions. You will not regret buying this, you will just wish you had watched it from the start.

One Tree Hill is one of the best shows on TV today!
What can I say that has not all ready been said about One Tree Hill. I discovered this show on DVD and was quickly addicted to it. Lucas and Hailey are my favorite characters on the show. Brooke brings a great laugh which always light up the moment. The show does not just deal with teen elements but the adults of the show have much of their own drama. This third season along with the first are great. I liked the second season but to me it was not as good as the first and third. If this show was on ABC it would give Grey's Anatomy, Lost and Desperate Housewives a run for their money. Yea, it is that good! If you have not seen ONE TREE HILL check it out! Absolut empfehlenswert
With Tired Eyes, Tired Minds, Tired Souls, We Slept".
