Colors are cosmetic
The chain is silver first then plated and painted. Look closely at the picture. There is no gold or black under the side links. The plating wears off quickly on the side that rubs cassette. The other side looks great for the life of the chain.

Quality is not there.
Wanted to love this chain . Looked great on my giant trance x. Unfortunately quality just wasn't there. Linkage popped out and bent not even a mile in to first ride on it. Pretty expensive chain to have break that fast.

this chain not only looks great but works great also. Says only compatible with shimano or sram but I have an absolute black oval chainring which it works fine with. Easy to install as well.
