Can be configured in many different ways/shapes. The directions that came with the pen are for the square/rectangle model instead of the fold-able one but if you want your pen to be able to fold up like a harmonica, you need to orient the bendy connector pieces inward and outward in alternating order. It is difficult to explain but if you look at the listing photo you will see how the circle part of the connectors are facing in, out, in, out, so on...Assembly took 30 minutes and allen key was included. This keeps my (almost) one year old contained when I have to use the bathroom or get a snack. When folded up, it can be easily transported outside or to grandma's house where it can be unfolded. Also the wood is sanded to a fine grit so it is very smooth and without any splinters. I appreciate that the wood is unfinished because polyurethane or industrial wood oils are harmful to health.Pros: +can be folded, +can be transported, +can be arranged in many different forms to suit your space, +assembly is straightforward, +wood is smooth and +unfinished, +gate is sturdy and +gate mechanism is secure (baby is unable to open gate but a smart toddler probably could if you showed him/her how to)Cons: -one of the threaded inserts fell out during installation, -the gate dowel is hard to align with the hole when closing it

This play pen is amazing because it is configurable making It great for small spaces. We shaped it like a half moon so it is long, allowing baby to move around , but does not protrude into our living space.

It broke right away after a couple months. If you keep it in the same configuration it won’t break but if you’re putting it together and putting away it will break.

Really hard to assemble. Wood not great for kids
