Trilogy Vitamin C Booster Treatment (0.5 Fl Oz)This vitamin c serum is a two-week treatment and it should be used twice a day - morning and night. It contains a solution of 6% vitamin c and you activate the ingredients by pushing down on the cap and then shaking it thoroughly. There is an enclosed glass dropper that screws onto the glass bottle for easy dispensing. The directions also state that 4-6 drops on your face is the recommended amount. Be sure to wear sunscreen with any vitamin c since it can cause photosensitivity.This serum is watery and has a strong floral scent. It isn't overwhelming but I really prefer unscented serums. It sinks in quickly and is pretty hydrating. This really is awesome for age spots or discoloration that you need help fading. I have been using this for a week and other than a bit of redness, I have not had any issues with irritation but I use vitamin c regularly.The package is not safety sealed and it should be used within two weeks of opening. This expires in 11.24 and is made in New Zealand. The Trilogy Vitamin C Booster came well packaged in a box and glass dropper container. The unique thing about this product is the fresh activation feature. You push down on the top of the cap, thus releasing vitamin C into the serum. This ensures that the vitamin C is at peak potency, as it tends to expire fairly quickly when mixed. You then insert the dropper, squeeze and apply.It goes on smoothly and absorbs immediately. It feels light on the skin and has a pleasant floral scent. It dries down to a smooth, hydrated, glowy sheen. I've experienced no irritation or redness. I like how it feels on my face and am glad it's working to help improve my skin tone. I've tried so many vitamin C serums and this serum actually works!!! The results start to show in just 2 days and after 2 weeks, I am pleasantly surprised by the improved texture and clarity of my skin. It's very potent but doesn't cause any redness or tingling feeling on my skin.Texture/smell: Very watery, slightly yellowish in color, with a slight floral aroma. The vitamin C dissolves very easily into the hyaluronic acid base.Results: It absorbs very easily into the skin. My pores, especially on my nose and cheeks, are definitely much more refined. My flaky dry skin is now smooth and brighter, and my skin tone is more even. The discoloration/pigmentation on my skin is somewhat blurred away. It's still there, but less red and lighter.After applying the serum, I generally apply the trilogy cream for a better effect.Very important note: Do remember to use sunscreen in the daytime.The only drawback is the short shelf life of 2-4 weeks due to the instability of vitamin C (Vit C oxidizes easily), and the biggest benefit is that you start to see the results in just a couple of days.

I love the idea of a freshly mixed vitamin c serum, but unfortunately this one did not work out for me. I know it is normal for very strong vitamin c serums to tingle a little when you first apply them, so at first I wasn't too concerned when I had some flushing upon initial application. However, instead of fading, it turned into stinging, and I experienced a lot of irritation. Additionally, the percentage of vitamin c is not actually all that high in this formula, so it isn't the strength that is causing irritation, but rather the base formula (likely the added citrus essential oils, which give the serum a nice but quite noticeable scent). The quantity is also quite small for the price. I would rather spend a little bit more and get that one famous vitamin c serum that has a higher percentage, is a gentler formula, and has results backed by research.

I add this vitamin c booster to my moisturizer. It gives it a bit more slip, and my skin feels soft and supple. I've been using Trilogy off and on for a few months and I've been happy with nearly every product (there was one I didn't like, but that's a personal preference nothing wrong with the product).All in all, this is worth a shot. And a little goes a long way. The bottle is small but you only need a few drops.

So, I've never used a "booster" system in the past and since I had ran out of my holy grail Vitamin C and my Antioxidant Peel pads, I decided to try this product out in the interim. I really liked this vitamin C serum and found that my skin appeared a bit more brighter than before. I also liked how it did not irritate my face. IThe only negative about this, and since I'm a junkie for face products, is that you have commit to regularly using and finish this product (as the box indicates that you have to use within 4 weeks of opening). Would I re-purchase? Most definitely, especially when I need a boost.
