This was exactly what I was looking for to use at the out door range int he military and police work. Nothing is worse then having to sight in a new weapon system or optic when it just rained and there is low ground where you have to lay in the prone. It is super compact and light and easily folds and rolls up. It comes with molly sewed in on it in places and plastic clips to secure it tightly compacted after it is folded and rolled up. The price was great for the quality of this product. I would absolutely buy another if I could convince my girl friend to go out to the range with me after the rain.

Use this while offroading so I have a clean place to put my tools or for crawling under a broken vehicle. Works great for both. Really nice that it has the rollup clips.

I had been using my rain jacket as a quick ground cover when hiking far into the back country and not wanting to lug around a 2 or 3 lb padded shooting mat.This mat packs away as small and light as a shell-type rain jacket, and provides protection from wet ground or prickly dry grass.It has 6 grommets for staking to the ground which is useful, since it is so light.But for some reason, it is about 10 inches too narrow, and about 2 feet longer than it has to be! It's as if it was designed by backpackers to place under a sleeping bag, instead of by shooters who lay prone with legs and elbows splayed out. Most of the time, if I'm deploying it in a hurry, I just leave it folded in half; I can get my torso and one elbow on the mat, which beats laying in the mud, but leaves me thinking that it probably wasn't designed by shooters.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Its small and light weight with a waterproof coating on one side. I clip it to the outside of my shooting bag and it is ready to go whether I go to the range or out into the desert. This one has no padding so if you want a cushion it's not the one for you.

Lightweight, Easy to store. Does exactly what I want it do do. All of these things at an excellent price point!

Works great and doesn't take up very much room. Has worked fine on dirt/small rock environment already. Awesome shooting mat, like others have stated this is for use in the field and isn't padded so this would probably be a bad choice for the concrete floor range guys.

This shooting mat is total garbage. It’s poorly made, and it’s poorly designed . If I could go back in time, I would not have ordered it.It’s much too small for most men, and it has absolutely no padding. It offers no protection from rocks and the material is very flimsy. The slightest gust of wind and this mat Completely rolls up on itself.I purchased this item for a class and I had nothing but problems with it. I ended up borrowing a mat from an instructor at lunch, and the quality/performance of the borrowed mat was vastly superior.I would save the money you would spend on this piece of garbage and put it towards a proper shooting mat.
