These are really great socks. Warm, well made, easy to go over the calf except for maybe a very huge guy. The only downside is that X shape in front of the ankle that prevents bunching. There is almost no material there. That means that my socks now have huge holes there while the rest of the sock is still almost like new. I've never had problems with my socks bunching up there anyway, so this "feature" is really just a marketing ploy that takes away from the durability of the sock. Mine developed holes in the X's in less than a year. They would probably last many years of not for this. I will probably have them darned, since they are pretty expensive.
