My biggest headache with ice cube trays is filling them with water. It takes a long time if you do it right and don’t spill. I specifically went looking for ice cube trays that made that part easier. These trays are a sleeper hit. Why don’t all manufacturers cop this design?! Filling the trays with water is a breeze. The secret with making ice cubes in these trays is in their design. They engineered the lids to not only clamp securely on both sides of the tray, but also perfectly occupy the fill canals in the middle such that when the cubes are frozen they are all completely separate. Now filling the trays takes literally 4 to 5 seconds, pop the lids on and make sure you lay them flat. In 6 to 8 hours, you have perfectly formed ice cubes. I leave the trays out for about 2 to 3 minutes after which removing the lids requires no hot water, etc. You just unpop them on both ends and give the tray a tiny little twist releasing all the ice cubes. Make sure you do not fill above the fill line! The trays are sleek, sturdy, slim design, well-made and with sturdy lids. Most people forget that silicone trays take twice the time to freeze because they insulate the water. These freeze obviously faster. Great value. I got 2 sets. My stupid LG icemaker froze up again and until I get around to repairing that this is the absolute best solution. The ice cubes are large, but slim and long so they should fit in water bottles. Look at the photographs. Four ice cube trays half fill the built-in icemaker collecting box. That should give you an idea of how much ice you get out of these. I have not been this happy about a minor purchase in a long time. I simply love when things are designed and built well and fulfill the simple purpose for which they were created. Kudos to the designers for getting it right. Highly recommended.

These are the absolute best ice trays I’ve ever used. I have an ice maker but it is not filtered, so I prefer to use filtered water. These trays make filling the trays quick with the unique design, and the nice large frozen cubes slide right out without giving your wrists a workout or worrying about cracking the tray. The lids work perfectly to prevent spills when placing them in the freezer. Note for those with loss of hand strength - in my experience, ice forms between the lid and the ice tray, so it does not lift off as easily. I find twisting the tray a tad to crack the ice seal, making it easier to remove.

I have a bladder disease and the only beverages I can drink are nonfat milk and water with a ph of 7.5 or over (alkaline). My tap water is 7.5 so I use that with a lot of ice in a 40 oz Takeya water bottle. Therefore ice is very important to me. I want ice that tastes like my tap water with no odor or freezer taste. These ice cube trays are my 4th try at finding trays with lids. My first try was Oxo, white trays with a pale blue lid that slides off the tray. The lids weren’t air tight so the ice still had that gross freezer taste, plus the lids warp after a few months, making it worse. 2nd attempt was from a company (I’m guessing), in China based on the name. They actually worked but two of my trays got holes in them after a lot of use and now that trays are being made BPA and PFAS free, I can’t find them anymore. The seller pulled their product off of Amazon, possibly because they weren’t safe. I tossed the ones I had left and searched for a new brand. 3 rd attempt was the new OXO trays with a silicone lid. There are a lot of trays with lids that are fully silicone, but after reading the reviews I decided against buying them because silicone picks up odors. Based on the reviews of the OXO trays with silicone lids, I didn’t read any complaints about the lids. Well, I may have been the first person because I only used them once and the lids smelled, plus the ice had a bad taste, like freezer burn. The ice cubes had a thick layer of frost/freezer burn on them so I ran them under water before putting them in my water bottle, all to no avail as the ice still tasted bad. Next try was these - the Joseph Joseph ice trays with lids. These are amazing!! I’m an ice cube connoisseur at this point, so I always run the bottom of the trays under hot water before taking the lid off. That way the cubes pop right out when I touch them. The cubes are larger than OXO cubes are which makes them last longer in my water bottle. I live in AZ where we have over 5 months of triple digit heat so I go through a lot of ice. I will be using these trays as long as they’re making them because they’re perfect. Thank you Joseph Joseph, I wish I’d found these sooner!

They work well and seem to be non breakable

No vertical divider on the tray so it is fairly easy to fill water as advertized, but I would say it is not so easy to get the ice cubes out of the tray because the lid easily gets stuck when it is frozen. I have a counter-depth fridge and this item just fits. The small cube size is just right for me.

I need help twisting the trays to remove the cubes. It takes a strong wrist.

Finally found a ice cube tray to make decent size large cubes no odors! Have been turning it upside down for ice removal then twisting and the cubes drop onto the lid with no problems. This is making it easy to slid them into the storage container I use in the freezer the Iris small flat storage container with locking lid 11 3/4 x 7 3/8 w x 3 1/2 H 2.7 qt. also noticing the larger size ice cube last longer. Wish I could fit 2 more in my small freezer. With the snap on lid and separator dividing grove it made all the difference. Turned up the freezer dial to max because after 8 hours my sub par apartment fridge left the ice unfrozen.

I was sick of the cheapo ones from the dollarstore that always seemed to break and am so glad I bought these They are super easy to fill, lay them flat and they distribute the water themselves, and the ice cubes are nice and big! As someone else here mentioned; the lid is hard to get off sometimes, once the water has frozen, but I find giving them a good twist really helps with that Hopefully I won't need new ice trays ever again (these seem like they will last for years!) but if I do I'll definitely get these again

Veramente versatile .lo riempi e col coperchio sopra l acqua non fuoriesce. Inoltre i cubetti si staccano facilmente con le dita.ottima plastica.

Prodotto eccezionale. Occupa poco spazio, non perde acqua mentre lo metti nel congelatore, e non deve essere riposto perfettamente in piano. I cubetti di ghiaccio vengono ben divisi, e vengono via immediatamente. Facilissimo da riempire. Consigliatissimo.

Genius! Could be improved by making cubes easier to push down and slide out but best ice cube tray ive had.

I was lazy about refilling ice trays, so I was looking for one that would make it easy. This does the job. It's easy to let the water reach the line, then just put the lid on. No splashing, or angling and moving the tray to reach every cube. No spills either. I do wish they had a version for smaller cubes, I like having that option. That is not a con though. The only reason it's 4 and not 5 stars, is that the lid is a little difficult to remove. I have to wrestle with it a bit to get to the ice, but overall, it's great. Now there's always ice cause I have no complaints about using it.
