These work really well and attract plenty of male moths. Hard to say how much they reduce the numbers, but our moths bred more and more and we've finally had to treat the house chemically after 15 years managing with pheromones, freezing cloths once a year and diatomateous earth. Hoping that the treatment will wipe them out or severely reduce them so we can manage organically again. If they return en masse, we'll remove the wool carpets and go floorboards and rugs I guess. These traps will hep us tell if they re are any left after last week treatment. I know they work as befopre treatment, these traps would accumulate up to 50 in a month.

A useful indicator of moth presence. It only catches male moths so the females are probably busy laying eggs in the carpet or your woollen items! The larvae or grubs do the actual damage and they bury themselves in or near their food source - your carpet or clothes. They tend to go for carpet edges, cracks and dark places which escape the vacuum cleaner. Constant vigilance and regular cleaning helps. Small items can be put in a freezer for 2 weeks, which kills off the grubs, or dry-cleaned. Washing at a minimum of 60 degrees also kills off grubs but this isn't practical with wool or silk items.Moth infestations peak in spring and summer, so that's when the trap can give you early warning.

Convenient. Economical.Sadly initially seemed carpet moths fluttering around in this property lacked inclination to be attracted to any pheromone on the sticky strips. Are these INCEL carpet moths or voluntarily celibates? If either, how come they are increasing not decreasing?After a few weeks, a moth caught though. Not sure whether was a carpet moth (was very small moth).I have found moth sprays (especially the best known pest brand in the UK) work well directly on the flighters and on carpet, etc.I suggest purchasing minimum amounts of such products as "testers" before buying in bulk.

They don't work. I have bought others in the past, that have trapped moths. These ones I paid more for and a few weeks later, not a single moth has been trapped. Still seeing moths flying around. They surely can't all be females.

This is a straightforward product which I use regularly.
