Mr. Beams Ultra Bright Wireless Battery Powered Motion Sensing Indoor/Outdoor LED Ceiling Light, Plastic, White, 300 lm

I bought this to replace a similar item from a different manufacturer that didn't work out of the box. Happily, this light is completely different. It's reassuringly solid, very simple to get the batteries into, and works perfectly, giving a good amount of light for the size. Fixing to the wall or ceiling is very easy, and once installed, everything feels firm and strong. It's worth noting that the 4xD-cell batteries (not included) are almost as expensive as the light itself, so overall satisfaction will depend on how long these last.However, motion detection is excellent, and the light switches off after about 20 seconds of no movement, so hopfully the batteries will last well.The light is bright enough to fully light a small shed (7' by 6') where I store a motorcycle. I think it would do a good job up to about twice that size.

I am a massive fan of Mr Beams products and the service provided by the company if needed. I bought 2 of these just because the price was right at the time even though I only needed 1. It was meant to be for my shed for the dark winter nights where I keep my bike. It was actually too bright and dazzled me so I used it to replace an earlier version (100 lumens) that was over my front door and swapped them over. This light is very bright and operates perfectly, coming on for about 20 seconds at night when detecting movement. Easy to fit and install batteries (4 x D cells). Can’t comment on the battery life as I’ve only had it up for about 3 or 4 weeks. An excellent product.

Bought a cheaper option and what a mistake! Light source no where near as bright and lasted 2 weeks on a full rechargeable battery charge. These are still going strong and do the job.Recommendations from my sister and hers still going 3 months on original batteries - also in a high traffic area. Motion sensor just works and brightness is great. Seriously recommended.

I bought the light to be fitted to a porch ceiling, approximately 2.1m above the ground. The porch is large and open on three sides, so I was hoping the design of the might and positioning of the motion sensor would allow the light to come on, whatever angle someone walks up to the front door.Pros:- Battery powered. No need to run cables outside of the thermal envelope of the building, risking draughts and moisture problems in the long run.- Bright. You won't be reading War and Peace by this light, but it's certainly enough to find door keys at the bottom of a bag, or clearly see the face of a visitor.- Subtle design. Some ceiling bulkheads look very industrial, whilst the curves of the Mr. Beams blend in nicely with the white porch ceiling, and don't attract the eye.Cons:- Supplied screws are made from 'Chinesium', the softest steel known to man. Do yourself a favour and chuck them straight in the bin and use from decent screws and plugs of your own.- Sensor only turns on the light once you're within 2m of the device, rather than the 5m advertised. This may be due to the height at which it is mounted (2.1m), but is disappointing none-the-less.- Batteries are not included. 4 D-cell batteries won't break the bank, but it would be nice to see some included in a £30 device.Battery life remains to be seen, but seems adequate thus far. I'm happy with the purchase, and would certainly buy again. However, I might wait for a sale, as the £30 price tag is a bit steep. £20 would represent very good value, £30 is expensive for a light that doesn't come with batteries included.

Bought to light up the front area of the house when I come home at night. It has a great range for the sensor, comes on as soon as I get out the car (about 10-15 feet away) and is on for enough time to get my work stuff out my boot and get inside the house. Was easy to install (took less then 5 minutes). Had it up for about 2 months and never had any issues.I would recommend this product.

I bought one of these some years ago and it's still going strong, therefore since that time I've bought two more. They are simply perfect for dark areas, and in particular in my case inside shed storage. Super bright, lights up the entire area easily. Whenever it comes to needing a wireless outside light, Mr Beams is the first thing I look up. Have a number of their lights inside and outside (networked lights are great), each one never failed for the past several years now.Definietely a brand to trust if you're not aware of Mr Beams already

Really good light!I purchased this light to illuminate my front porch.I didn’t want to wire up a full outside light.I have used solar & battery powered lights before they are weak or don’t last long. I was pleasantly surprised by how bright this light is I’m using rechargeable batteries with it.My plan is to recharge them once a month, but I think I could go a bit longer between charges.The light does dim when the battery begins to lose charge so you get plenty of warning before it cuts out. Everyone in the family is happy with how bright it is!Very good purchase, highly recommend this light!

I fitted this in my shed. It was easy to fit, didn't take long.And it is very effective. It comes on when I enter the shed and is enough light to find what I am looking for, when it is dark.I would definitely recommend!

In meinem dunklen Eingangsbereich habe ich eine batteriebetriebene Deckenleuchte benötigt. Mich har zwar erst der Preis dieser Lampe anfangs etwas abgeschreckt, bin jedoch sehr zufrieden damit. Endlich kein weiteres Stromkabel verziehen. Das Licht ist sehr hell, eher weißlich. Der Bewegungsmelder funktioniert super. Schaltet nach ca. 20 Sekunden automatisch ab. Er hat auch einen Helligkeitssensor. Somit schaltet er sich an, wenn es "leicht schummrig" wird draußen. Benutze die Lampe seit nun fast 3 Wochen und bin wirklich zufrieden damit. Das montieren war ebenfalls sehr einfach. Bei mir war es an einer Holzdecke, also ohne Dübel. Bis jetzt halten auch noch die ersten Batterien. Die Lampe kommt jedoch auch sehr oft abends zum Einsatz. Von dem her lass ich mich mal überraschen.Nachtrag nach fast einem Jahr in Gebrauch:Nach wie vor bin ich sehr zufrieden. Gestern habe ich das erste mal die Batterien gewechselt. Das ist echt stark. Der Gang in dem die Lampe ihre Dienste leistet ist ein Durchgangsbereich der betreten werden muss, möchte man ins Obergeschoss. Das heißt, die Lampe ist im Dauereinsatz, sobald es schummrig wird. Auch wenn etwas teurer als andere Lampen. Sie ist ihr Geld wert.

In unserem kleinen Vorraum liegen keine Stromleitungen. Am frühen Morgen oder am Abend macht das das Schuhe anziehen schwierig. Diese Lampe hat unsere Problem absolut gelöst. Dank des Bewegungssensor mit Lichterkennung schaltet sich die Lampe genau dann an, wenn man sie braucht. Die Helligkeit ist für unseren Zweck voll ausreichend, extrem hell ist sie allerdings nicht. Ab und zu löst sie Nachts plötzlich aus, wahrscheinlich aber aufgrund von Lichtreflexionen, die als Bewegung erkannt werden. Als Negativ würde ich den verwendeten Batterietyp bewerten, da findet man leider nur schwer Akkus, aber sie halten sehr lange (also dafür kein Punkte-Abzug)
