The description says blue. So I was expecting a dark, navy blue from looking at the picture. In person it is actually a very dark green, blackish green. I am going to keep it. Just an FYI.

It fit in with my decor

As soon as I saw this bird...it caught my eye. Then I noticed it was made by Mikasa.Put the two together...order made.My mother used to be a buyer for a large high end department store years ago. She would get her pick of the litter of anything that passed through her department.All sorts of statues, glass...ceramic...fine china...I received a bit of an education by osmosis.Then my wife to be chose Mikasa for our wedding set...black pattern with white flowers...they are beautiful and different...as she is.Mikasa knows what they are doing...and this is a lovely item that is going into a very large china cabinet...right alongside some of my Mothers favorite pieces.I'd like to think she would have picked this out as well...Just a tip, but make sure to get light on all of your glass...try bottom lighting.This is a beautiful piece....big thumbs up!!

This is a beautiful piece. Such quality can be felt when you pick this up. It's a fun, unique gift for someone who would appreciate quality.We have such a person in our family. She loves birds and even moved to be near a birding area. Every gifting holiday, we try to add a bird gift in for her.This year, we got this to go in with other little things for her birthday, mostly bird themed. I think this may be her favorite.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas. She is an avid bird watcher. This just looked like something she would like. Well, it was a big hit. When she opened it on Christmas day, she loved it. My other two kids and husband liked it too. So much, they tried to barter with her and trade. I picked this up and didn't open it initially, figuring we will see.So when she opened it, it was the first I saw it in person too. Everything about this looks more expensive than it is. What you cannot see in the pictures well is how it is colored transparent and translucent in areas. The shape of it is perfect. it looks extremely well-made, and things like the legs are never going to fall off or break unless you were really rough with it. It was one of those one-off gifts, but it wound up being a big hit.
