Q: What is the warranty on this product?

Have no idea, but it is virtually indestructable, as it is made from rigid & thick plastic. Very practical item, folds flat & is very strong... mvc

Q: Can this be used in the shower?

It's a fabulous step stool for many uses, however. there is a warning label on the stool wlhich says "THE STEP STOOL MUST BE USED ON A DRY AND FLAT SURFACE. So it should not be used in a shower. Sorry. I've been using the stool for a long time now and I would say it would NOT BE SAFE to use in the shower.

Q: Are there any metal parts that would rust from constant water exposure as a shower stool?

I do not believe there is any metal in this little stool / seat (unless there would be a hidden metal sleeve somewhere) - but I do not believe so. It is a great little stool and think it would be just fine for wet conditions.

Q: what is the best height for a short person when gardening?

Wish I could answer that question, but I'm not sure exactly how you are thinking of using it for gardening --- to stand on to trim or prune , or to sit while planting or digging? If it's the former, you'd want the 13" if you are sitting on it you'd want the 9" one. These are the heights when the stool is unfolded. The stool is lightweight and made to be used on a floor, not on a lawn or uneven surface, where it might not be as stable if you are standing on it. Sitting would be safe enough on the smaller stool.
