I love these dip pens
I love these dip pens. They work very well with Speedball inks as well as Dr. Ph Martin Bombay inks that I have. They are all the same Hunt 102 nib which is handy when you are using different colors at the same time.

Unavailing is a weak word to describe these Contrivances of Martyrdom!
When I first received these Quills and began to compose Wedding Invitations in England Hand Script it was pulchritudinous without question! Ensuingly, after about 4 days of cleaning them (as is essential to do after any use) the first head splintered, fragmented, crumbled. From that point on, without exception, 2 or 3 per-day disintegrated by either shattering or one side would splinter. Should anyone invite me in the future to acquire Quill Pens I think I will harness them to a plow for an entire day of field work!

You get what you pay for
They arrived in a timely manner. However a piece was missing, so I'm sending it back. If you are looking for a cheap set, this is it. I got them for a Harry Potter birthday, so they are perfect for a low price. If you are into doing nice calligraphy, this isn't for you.

These pens are excellent for sketching and fine detail, The nibs are not as flexible as some pens so they are better for fine line work than large expressive strokes. I love them.
