Gownies Post Surgery Mastectomy, Breast Cancer Recovery Robe with Internal Pockets

I was anxious to give this to my mother who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer last week. When she received this in the mail, not only was she thrilled with the quality and prettiness; it is so comfortable! She looks beautiful in this and I am so happy that she will feel a sense of confidence during a very stressful post recovery.

This robe is great, just the right weight to be comfortable around the hospital and house, the interior pockets are so helpful to hold the drains. I didn’t realize how extremely soft and comfy it was until I took it off after 2 days to wash it and had to wear my regular PJ’s that felt so rough on my skin. It was nice to have a pretty robe to wear during this time to make myself feel a little better.

This is a stylish robe with 4 inside pockets for drains. Soft and well-made. I recently went through a bilateral mastectomy due to breast cancer and purchased this robe. I did get a M/L because I was uncertain how swollen I would be. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I paid extra for the product to arrive before surgery and it made it after the surgery. I will keep using this as my regular robe.

Almost everything about my bilateral mastectomy I want to put in the rearview mirror. This robe is an exception. It is comfortable and the drain pockets made life much easier. Most of all, though, it is well made and I felt pretty wearing it. On the emotional roller coaster that followed my surgery, it was everything to look in the mirror and like what I saw. I’ll be keeping this!I chose one size up just to have roomy comfort following surgery. It can be cinched with the drawstring.

I love love love this robe! I bought a lot of stuff to prepare for my mastectomy - most things I didn't use at all, some things I used for a week or two, and this is the only thing that I will use for years. The material is a soft cotton knit, thin enough that it's lightweight and breathable, but thick enough to be flattering and not see-through. There are 4 pockets inside which are placed perfectly for holding drains, but they lie flat and are totally invisible from the outside when empty. And there are normal side pockets on the outside which are actually a reasonable size.Losing things that made me feel young, independent, and pretty has been the hardest part of the process for me, and most of the products on the market for post-mastectomy care are, well... not very helpful with that. This robe has a timeless feminine cut, some decently cute prints, and I was able to put it on without help after surgery - what a breath of fresh air! Most importantly, it doesn't feel like medical equipment - it was great for after surgery, but it's also just a nice normal robe, perfect for re-integrating into regular life after cancer or whatever condition your surgery is treating.I highly recommend this robe for any average-sized adult with feminine or neutral gender expression who is having chest surgery with drains. Because of how it buttons high at the waist, I wouldn't recommend it for people who prefer a more masculine style.

I got so many compliments while I was in the hospital after my surgery. The nurses just loved it. Great robe and easy access to your drain tubes. And didn’t need the lovely hospital gown.

I bought this in preparation for surgery that I was going to have drains. This robe is soft and cozy (it does take a few washes to soften up) I lived in his 24/7 the first week. My drains fit nicely. It does run big. I’m usually. Medium but the m/l was huge so I switched to the xs/s and that fit perfect.

So happy I bought this. Easy to get into and out.

It is helpful in holding drains especially if you have the large ones but it us a very heavy robe and would be best maybe in the winter.
