what is the benefit of buying a berkey primer? is it necessary to do so?

It is helpful if you are in an emergency situation and do not have running water, or if your faucets have a screen or odd shape that might prevent getting a good seal with the priming button. Generally, I have found it easiest to use the included priming button with your household faucet, but many like the ease of the priming bulb. Casey9G Health Foods(205) 202-9235
