Good quality and match the pictures
I have purchased this set of goggles for a Character Costume. So, I can not speak to the use of them during welding. They are as pictured and good quality. They are comfortable to wear and have a strong strap that is adjustable. They are dark when worn, but not too dark to see. Plus they just look cool. Great value for the price.

Better Than Expected
These goggles are so much better than I expected. Much better than the costume quality ones I have found and purchased before. They have the cool Steampunk or Apocalyptic look while being sturdy and well made. My only critique is the metal ball chain connecting the 2 eye pieces that serves as a nose bridge. Maybe it's designed this way to be adjustable; which it is. I hope in the long run the ball chain endures though I can see I could replace it easily enough with a more stable feature (wire/string) but that's my only concern and the over all quality for the price out weighs that. I highly recommend these goggles!

Decent for the price
Yes these are #5 welding goggles with a clear glass lens in front and a acrylic/poly tinted lens behind it. You will need to unscrew the lens holder and remove the tinted lens if you want clear vision. Yes the nose piece is adjustable in spite of what other reviewer said. You have to unscrew (all the way off) the lens holder and the ball chain will slide out through a slot in the lens frame and then adjust to new length and reassemble. Do the same for other eye if needed. But due to the length of the plastic barrel in the middle (nose cushion?) your adjustments are limited. The fit is ok but could use a little softer padding/material around the eyes. As for being shatter resistant or not, I can not personally verify. But hey what do you expect for $8? If you want high quality professional goggles with all the safety endorsements then go down to your local welding supply shop and buy some real goggles $$. These are decent for price paid.

Be aware of ball chained nose piece.
Honestly...The goggles themselves were fine, but the metal ball chain between the eyes SUCKS! There is no possible way to adjust them bc they somehow put the chain into very tight/small rectangular holes, mind you the chain is round balls. I tried to adjust it because they are too far apart for my eyes, and the balls on the chain just snapped off. So I now have to remove the chain completely and find something else to use for the nose piece so they'll work to keep dust & sand out of my eyes in the desert wind storms. I had expected the rims around the eyes would be a rubber or softer material, but they still secure fine against the skin and the over all quality is good. Just annoyed about the chained nose piece.

Top notch goggles!
These are pro-grade goggles. The tint is NOT welding grade, but cutting torch grade (actually usable as really dark sunglasses). The nose connection is bead-chain covered by a protective plastic cover, rather than cheap, molded plastic.Whether you want them to actually work metal, or punk-up for wearing on yer hat, these are the real deal, and even if just for show, look like you're for real.Tl:dr: Want goggles? Get one of THESE!

Exactly what I paid for
I bought this for my arc wire feed and stick welder but the lenses aren’t strong enough for these, the quality and comfort of the goggles were spot on and they actually work and feel great on the right applications

Nothing close to expected.
Tent came off the lens the first time I tried to clean with water and a paper towel. Very disappointing and a waste of money.

Good fit
I bought these with the intention of repurposing them. I am almost 70 with bad eyes, that are hard to get aimed to the same place. This made it so I couldn't see anymore to weld. I bought some round 2" magnifying glases, (I also found on Amazon) replaced the lenses in these goggles and wear them under my face shield. they force my eyes to look in the same direction and the magnifying glasses make everything clear again so now I can Mig, Tig and Arc weld again at my old age! The standard size lenses worked out perfectly for me as well as the adjusting the fit to my face.
