My class have read this book as part of our literacy topic... needless to say they loved it! Here is a review written beautifully by one of the students:"I loved the book it was so fascinating. The glorious, dark colour palette was mind-blowing to see. The type of writing was magnificent, it took my breath away. The short sentences gave the book mystery. In the book, there were astonishing adjectives that described the setting perfectly. Every little detail was amazing. The book was magnificent. I love all of the book, all of the way through I felt amazed."

Beautiful story and stunning illustrations
This is a stunningly beautiful story with equally beautiful illustrations. I really enjoyed using this book with my class and they enjoyed using the book to create their own circus acts. The pages on here doesn’t do the book justice, the illustrations and story are wonderful to look at and read and the book is better when you have it in your hand!

Leon and the Place Between
I have used this book already at work with people with complex learning disabilities. They love the large pictures and looking through the page with the cut out hole where Leon gets into the place inbetween. The large faces on some of the pages help them to focus more on the pages. They also love the idea of the magic in the Place Between and the idea that you must believe in the magic for it to work. I love the colourful pages and the way the text is placed on each page to emphasise the important parts. I look forward to using this book many more times. Book arrived in very good condition thank you.

"WOW"
I was going to save this book for the holidays but as it's a windy stormy night here in Scotland, I got the book out early and read it to my son at bedtime. When we got to the fold out page he whispered, "wow".Can there be any higher praise from a 4 and half year old boy?A magical narrative accompanied by gorgeous illustrations, with good design and typography. This is one to put on the shelf of "special books".

Gorgeous illustrations
Such a beautiful looking book. Story is a little tough for kids, but I love the concept. Will be using as a read-aloud for preschoolers so hopefully it is received well.

Silly plot. Nice drawings.
Delivery was excellent. My son did NOT like the book. I didn’t particularly care for it either. Nice drawings - kind of stupid plot.
