Great for beginners and those well versed with Indian cooking
Great for beginners and those well versed with Indian cooking. Love the way cooking method and ingredients are organised into step 1,2 and 3. Simple easy to follow instruction, some recipes have been modified and are not truly Indian but and reflect the influence of other cultures on Indian cooking.

Indian cooking bible
A brilliant and complete source of information on Indian cooking. Excellent collection of varied recipes, helpful descriptions of ingredients, and some history of the art. I bought my first copy in the 1990s, and it became my bible for Indian cooking. My original copy is now worn out, so I needed to buy this version.

A different approach to Indian cooking.
Having used the fabulous Madhur Jaffreys curry bible I wanted to try different, purely Indian dishes and this ticked all the boxes. On first sight the process of cooking each dish appears confusing, because it's a different layout, but as soon as you get used to this you realise it actually makes the preparation and cooking more simple. Having just returned from India this has a very authentic feel and although not probably for the novice to Indian cookery, you only need the basics (and a good spice store) to produce great dishes.
