This is an attractive bowl that has been made from mango wood and appears to have a plastic, patterned liner on the inside, although there is no information about what that material is and I assume it is not plastic since the listing says (or implies) this is plastic free.The bowl has an attractive design cut into the exterior, although I am not sure how much care has been taken during the manufacturing process since my bowl came with a split down the side that I thought would have been obvious and would earmark it for rejection.If you get one with a good finish, I can see it being something to leave out for people to see as it is an attractive piece, so use it for fruit or other kitchen or living room clutter. The wood looked much better once wiped over and given a costing of oil to add moisture and seal it against water penetration; it doesn’t help that crack though.If gifting, check it over carefully for damage. It does come in a good gift box, but mine had been bashed about and was split and torn on arrival, so leave sufficient time to check and get a replacement if necessary.

This wooden bowl arrived well packaged and once opened I saw a crack on the inside design of the bowl which is a shame. I absolutely love mango wood and this handcrafted design looks fantastic. The inside of the bowl has a mosaic kind of pattern which means you can wipe down any food dirt from it easily. I’m not sure what material is used for the inside of the bowl. The bowl is light weight which I wasn’t expecting, I prefer a heavy bowl. I use it as a fruit bowl but really it does need to be slightly larger to be a proper fruit bowl. Overall I like it and would recommend as long as it arrives with no damage.

A beautiful salad bowl, looks delicate but is really sturdy.Heavier than it looks, set as a centrepiece it is great for sharing and looks lovely. Seems to keep contents fresh for the duration of a dinner and is very easy to clean.I tried cold and warm salads plus a few other things, dough balls etc and it works well for many different things.I get a lot of use out of it over a few weeks and it still looks great and hasn't degenerated through all the cleaning.Comes in a lovely box if you want to gift it.Overall a great product and great value.

These bowls are not suited for soups, salads or anything else that would require a bigger bowl. These are a bit bigger than a glass ramekin. Extremely expensive at £29.99 also considering how many defects and imperfections there are. Poor workmanship throughout. One has a hole in the bottom so I definitely would not trust with holding a liquid. I would not recommend.

'Rustic charm meets modern elegance' says the copy in the 'About this item' but if you click on the first photo and enlarge it you'll see the sides of the bowl are very crudely made. The small grooves don't line up and vary in size. The mango wood hasn't been smoothed off and the base has had no attention at all. Considering the black inside motif it would probably have been better just to leave the outside completely unadorned and very smooth.The bowl is apparently free from plastic so I'm not sure what the inside lining material is, it certainly feels and looks like plastic. I think the black motif inside would have looked much better a lot smaller making them look much more decorative.Scroll down the page to see a selection of much better-looking bowls and considerably cheaper than this Indi Affinity version, apparently made in India. It did come in a sturdy white box with a small graphic in the middle of the top. No details about the manufacturer or distributor.

I love a bit of woodwork, and this is a pretty bowl. Mine is flawed though... the interior is some kind of laminate sticker and mine is blemished on the inside and when I rubbed round the edge it started chipping off. The interior is just not finished too well. Would definitely only withstand gentle wiping. Lovely, but flawed.

Firstly, what I like about this was that it came in a gift box. It would make a lovely present for someone, especially a housewarming. The bowl is large without being too intrusive. The mango wood outer has a nice rustic pattern which reminds me of tree bark. The inner is vinyl or plastic, a blue and white Mediterranean style design. It's wipe clean, and adds a summery touch to wherever it's displsyed. This is quite expensive for what it is, but it's definitely worth the money. I like this very much.
