Simply fantastic...One of the best cake decorating books!
Being a cake decorator I found this book one of the best I have bought so far (and I own quite a few). It is very good technically, explaning clearly lots of piping techniques and royal icing work that usually other books leave behind. In my opinion much better than Mich Turner's Cake Masterclass, which I purchased expecting to be something like Toba's book. If you you want to improve and master your cake decorating techniques and get some professional knowledge you won't be disappointed.

Better for the Beginner
I bought this book based on the title but have to say this book provides nothing new and is, in my opinion, aimed at the beginner. It's not bad, it just doesn't provide anything I haven't seen before. On the positive side, the instructions are clear and the photography is good. There is nothing for anyone with more experience and I feel this book could have been much improved had it been split into sections aimed at the begginer, intermediate and advanced cake decorator. It would be good to hear from the 'professional' author how they have adapted a technique and come up with a new one instead of just repeating what has gone before. Perhaps someone will produce a book like this at some point.

Fabulous book!
If you are new or experienced this is a very useful book! Clear instructions and photographs with short lessons at the end of each section. Very handy if you are feeling a bit rusty!

Good book loads of nice pics and ideas good quality pages glossy images. loads of recipe ideas this book is one of the best
