I'm a big fan of Emma Hardie products. I have tried several, maybe nine or ten, and there are a few that I use very regularly. This is one of those that I like to use often, especially now as the weather is getting warmer and I find myself needing lighter hydration for my oily skin. This stuff is made for skin just like mine! I really love the 'gel cream' or 'water cream' texture; it moisturizes just enough, but doesn't suffocate my skin with heavy product it doesn't need. It's lightweight and absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth. And EH products never irritate my sensitive skin. In fact, this product actually seems to reduce any inflammation and redness, so my face looks clearer and brighter. Yes, there is a very light, barely-there botanical scent here. In my experience, all Emma Hardie products have this same scent. It's not my favorite, necessarily, but it isn't unpleasant or anything. For me, it's come to mean that I'm about to enjoy a product from one of my favorite skincare brands!Oh, and one of the reasons this is among my very favorite brands is that almost all EH products are vegan (excepting the one or two that contain honey), and they are ALL 100% reliably cruelty-free! Guilt-free skincare is a thing of beauty, and that's what you get here. I love this stuff so much. If you have oily, acne-prone skin with congestion or redness and fine lines, you will probably love it, too. And if you don't, remember that Amazon's return policy is second to none. It's worth a try, for sure!

I have been struggling to find a new skincare routine after surgical menopause. Went from oily/ combination skin to super dry. I picked up the cleansing balm on a flash sale so I wanted to try the rest of the line. Was really impressed with the results after using, this has been the first skincare product line I’ve used that has improved my skin after surgery. I have no problem with the scent, I’m allergic to perfumes so it’s nice to have something that doesn’t make me sneeze or water my eyes.I’m ordering the full sizes and keeping the containers from the gift set as they are the perfect travel size.

This cream has Phenomenal ingredients. This is a very clean and holistic brand. I’ve been using this cream for about a week now and have not had any reactions or irritations using the cream with my other skin care products and routines. The one ingredient to note is the couple different types of alcohol used in the product which can be an irritant for some but, for me I did not have any issues with it. This cream is very much a gel cream. A little bit goes a long way. When I open the bottle it does have a strong herbal scent to it but, that does dissipate very quickly. On application I barely notice it. I also appreciate the spoon that comes with this product to help keep the container free of contamination.I really like this cream. This cream does leave a subtly dewy look to my skin tone after application. It also leaves a subtle sticky or tacky texture to my skin that does fade a few minutes after application. As this cream absorbs it does make my skin feel tighter. Not uncomfortable, dry or stripped but just tighter. The cream does take about a full 10 minutes to feel fully absorbed into the my skin leaving a nice dewy look. The texture does look slightly grainy for some reason but it does not apply with a grainy texture at all. I have noticed that this cream has helped reduce oil and help minimize blemishes and pores. the blemishes I had when I started this cream healed very quickly. This cream does feel very moisturizing and neutralizing. I am very happy with this product and its quick working results. I love that I started feeling and seeing the results just a day or two after application. This is not a cream I will continue to use daily but rather to specifically help oil production in the spring and summer and blemishes year round as they occur. I would highly recommend this cream for those purposes. I’m looking forward to checking out other products by this highly esteemed brand/company.

This is an extremely light gel cream moisturizer and it does remain tacky until it fully absorbs into the skin. I love that this cream/gel came with a spatula, this helps keep the bacteria that live on your fingers...from getting into the jar. The jar is glass and is very solid and hopefully won't break if dropped. It has an odd scent, I'm not sure what it is...something tea-like or herbal in some way. I wouldn't say it's overwhelming but there is for sure a scent. It for sure made my skin feel softer and supple, a little goes a long way and it will take a minute or two to fully absorb into the skin. Overall, I like it and I think it does do what it promotes that it does.

I selected for our teenage son who has very active acne and uses spot treatments to help clear his acne. I had him use nightly, to counter any effects of dryness that often comes with his acne treatment creams. He used consistently for about two weeks and used probably every other day, thereafter (and when he remembered). He liked how it felt on his face and that it maintained his face feeling hydrated (especially in the Winter months). He didn’t see major improvements in controlling his oily skin, but it didn’t worsen it either. Overall, good gel cream.
