I looked at a lot of different ones. I don’t know about you, well we all have different printing needs, right? But all i needed was a black & white laser printer. My old one just decided to poo out…ok…it took awhile to find just a simple one, also reliable…and not expensive, please. This one had good reviews, which leads me to where we are now…it works great; prints fast , even double sided , which i have never had before. …(yes, i get impressed by little things like that. ) the screen is teeny tiny, but hats ok. It even puts itself to sleep when you pause to do something. Now it has just a started bit of ink right now, so i will have to order a full size cartridge- and im hoping that will not be expensive…and that i can find one thats an off brand real cheap…i will let you know how that goes. But all in all, this is a great printer, reasonably priced, performs well, and i do hope this helps you . Cheers my printing friends out there- and thats most of us , right? :)

DO NOT BUY IT! This is horrible product. It has unreadable LCD screen. Regarding user unfriendliness I can repeat world by world the following review: “ I wish I would have myself. The screen is terrible as stated many times in reviews and like others, I had to resort to using a flashlight to read the screen.The instructions are absolutely terrible, lacking any sort of intuitive flow or useful guidance, and this is coming from someone that provides tech support for a living. This is not a professional grade printer yet the instructions are written as if your office IT person is setting it up for you. That is to say ALL the information for the various configuration possibilities is vomited out in a psuedo-logical structure offering no useful way of piecing it together. You're left wondering over and over again if you should be doing the myriad of configuration steps on offer. And forget doing any troubleshooting if you encounter an issue because the instructions offer nothing of substance.I followed the instructions to download and install the driver but for some reason, the driver installation wasn't working. Next I tried using the included disc containing the driver. This actually seemed to be working but it wanted to connect to the printer before installing the driver. This brings us to my next problem. I tried the wireless connection setup first. Printer showed as connected to wifi and the router app showed the printer as a connected device too. Unfortunately, my computer couldn't access/find it. Next I tried connecting it via ethernet and again the router app showed the printer as connected to my network, but my computer still couldn't access/find it. I tried two different computers over the course of trying to connect. I checked the troubleshooting section of the user guide and there was no guidance available. So not only could I not connect either wirelessly or over ethernet, I couldn't even proceed with the driver installation. I finally gave up and drove to a store to buy a USB printer cable (this is a special type of USB cable if you aren't aware). Once the computer and printer were connected via the cable I bought, I was able to install the driver and print something. The printing was fast and good quality, but you have to be able to connect to the printer to use it, hence my rating.“DO NOT BUY THIS AFWUL THING. Waste of time and money!

Wifi set up is difficult. I called Canon technical support and got rapid response. They used remote control app to helped me set it up on my computer. The result is excellent. Wifi can connect my laptop, phone, and Ipad in same time. The print speed is fast but resulution qulity is not very good. Recommened to use it as personal use instead business,

Needed a basic B&W laser printer for economic printing. My older Samsung printer (actually made and sold by HP under the Samsung name) failed after a number of years with the fuser no longer working. This $100 printer gets a best buy rating from a well-known consumer publication, so I decided to give it a try. Some specs indicate only Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, but this has a hard-wired Ethernet connection as well, which is my preference. Installation was fairly straightforward using Canon's "Master" setup program. But if you don't know much about setup of devices on a network, you might need help from a semi-expert. I would agree with others that the very small LCD display and menu system is a bit hard to use, but for 100 bucks this is pretty good and it is manageable. Only time will tell on longevity. I will probably use third-party toner cartridges as they are a lot cheaper. I updated the firmware directly from the LCD display and selection buttons without any problems. BTW, this printer is Made in Vietnam.

I liked the price, ease of set up and quality of print. they need to make there set up instructions a little clearer and change the statement where it is USB from computer to printer. I only saw an Ethernet connection.

El producto cumple y es de excelente calidad, pero mi ignoracia por la falta de investigacion me hizo ver que los toner son carisimos, asi que mi instinto mexicano me obliga a revenderla ya que al ser de importacion el regresarla no es una opcion viable, se que existen genericos pero es una impresora de apoyo y el tenerla guardada la pondra triste y si algo me enseño toy story, es que no puedes hacer a un lado algo o alguien por algo mas nuevo.

working just fine. No issues. But it was slightly costlier on Amazon than another platform which I noticed a while after. Delivery period was also too irritating. Really disappointed about the latency in delivery.

Stopped working after ~2 month. It cannot take the paper from the tray, it tried to but the sheet is not moving when I give any amount in the tray. Sad because it was working great until now.
