Bought this for a few years now and This is perfect bath SAND for hamsters nice and fine -cleans up nicely too

My winter white loves to dig, poop, sleep, and eat food in the sand but wont roll around to clean herself. Despite the fact MY hamster only like to play in it, doesnt mean your hamster will do the same. It doesnt seem to bother her respiratory system(afterall I mentioned she sleeps in it). Overall its a really good value. Since my hamster plays in it I tend to go through the package quickly, but you cant be the price and the amount for a safe product.

I was getting my hamster a different type of sand before that was more like dust which I didn’t know was bad until i was looking for more and saw all the reviews! So I started getting him this one which is not like dust at all, thank goodness, it’s more like sand, a little thicker and can’t be inhaled easily. Good product!

Our Russian dwarf hamster loves this sand! We let her have a bath twice a week, and when she sees her little sandbox, she runs into it and flips upside down repeatedly. She’ll return and repeat several times before we remove the sandbox after a few hours. The sand has never caused her any side effects, is easy to clean, and one bag lasts quite a while. I recommend this product.

My hamster loves it! Makes it very easy to spot her poop pellets and clean. She also likes to use it to keep cool and I have a ceramic hideout where she loves to sleep.However, in my own opinion, it is a bit dusty and when i sifted it a few times I could see clouds of dust (especially when I just opened it). I'm just worried that the fine dust will irritate my hamsters lungs. I still think it's a bit dusty since I can see some fine particles cling to the ceramic and my hand and stuff but my hamster hasn't been bothered by it yet it seems. If anyone know if this is TOO dusty for a hamster please let me know! I am still a novice pet owner!Overall, I would do some more research about what kinds of sand to use and I would not buy this again. I've just bought a 20 lb bag of natural reptile sand at just 10$ more than this 2 lb bag so I'm hoping the alternative works out!

This sand is perfect for my hamster. We think she rolls in it while we are sleeping because she always smells better the day after we put it in. Unfortunately she starts peeing in it so we have to take it out on second day. I read that the bath powder is dangerous for hamsters. But this is sand texture and appears very safe! I will purchase this again .

I really like this product. The sand is very fine and silky, but it is not dusty at all. My hamsters loved it! My one complaint is that it isnt offered in a larger size. I have three hamsters, and it was only enough for one dish for each of them, one bath each. For one hamster, all you would get out of it is about three or four uses.
