HON2-Drawer Filing Cabinet - 600 Series Lateral Legal or Letter File Cabinet, Black (H682), 2 Drawers (HON682LP)

I just unpacked my file cabinet and am happy to say that it is in perfect condition. The drawers slide well and the lock work perfectly. No dents or scratches. When it was delivered, it was packed well. That is why I gave it 5 stars. What wasn't so great is we weren't given more precise delivery information, only before 8pm in the evening. We weren't home when it was delivered. It was sitting on a sidewalk next to my porch where someone could have easily been stolen it but thank God it didn't.

This was my "second" choice, the first from another provider arrived trashed and not assembled. This came in beautifully intact and works perfectly. Costs a few extra dollars - but very much worth it.

Poor quality, poor packaging, both damaged, do not buy. I used to work at an office furniture / installation store and believe that HON has great quality. However, this series was extremely cheap, very poor packaging, and dents all over the filing cabinets. One cabinet arrived in a condition in which all the fronts of the drawers were bent inwards and one corner was also bent inwards so no drawers could even be opened. On top of this, the seller is terrible to deal with related to returns and getting refunded.

Very mixed on this purchase. Hon has always had a good quality product. The fit and finish on this one is no exception. Unfortunately they’ve decided to make removing drawers very difficult (see you tube) which seems very odd. They offer very little in the way of instructions and so far request from their web site have been unproductive.Delivery of this product was a complete cluster. After waiting 3 weeks I received a notice that the cabinet was damaged in the delivery process before it made it to my door. So had to order another and wait 3 more weeks. When you order you pick a delivery time. 2 days before delivery I received a cryptic message about a schedule change - there was no reference to my order number or product. I felt it was a scam. 1 day before delivery Amazon confirmed my delivery for the original day. Later that day I got another email stating my delivery was scheduled for 4:30-7:30 later that day. They delivered it at 3:30. Thankfully someone was home. They also left a pallet in our driveway.It’s nice to have a delivery early (certainly not the norm) but we were lucky to have someone home. I will buy this differently next time and consider other products than HON.

Arrived next business day! The ability to lock, adjustable base, and gliding drawers are just as stated in descriptions. Fits well in my small office space and keeps my files organized.

The first one came damaged, but the next one was perfect and it is exactly what I needed for my office. The return was fairly easy and I am very happy with the quality of the product.

I work in a furniture store. Even the cheapest of furniture comes in a box. This big heavy cabinet didn't. It had a piece of cardboard and a piece of styrofoam on the bottom and the top. They were held together with 2 thin packing strips. The rest of it was wound in thin plastic film. The bottom was just hanging on by the packing strips and as you can imagine the cabinet is dented. I asked about the dimensions before buying. I was told it was 19.25" deep. It isn't. It is 18". There are no installation instructions in the bottom drawer as stated on the cabinet and there are no rails to hang the files front to back. I chose Hon because I thought it was quality. However, if really, really heavy is what you want. This is is. Delivery was another issue. Everything states you will be called to set up an appointment. I got an email on Saturday from Ceva telling me the cabinet would be delivered on Monday. I wasn't going to be home on Monday. I tried calling them but their phone system hangs up on you when you call outside their business hours. I tried the website. There was no help there because it said I had to call. I called on Monday and waited 45 minutes on hold when I was supposed to be working. The girl at Ceva was polite, but told me the problem was with the actual company who would be making the delivery. She gave me the number and I had to make the arrangements myself. I continued to get the emails from Ceva telling me it was going to be delivered on Monday and how was the service? The delivery from the actual delivery company was OK. They initially went to the wrong place. They didn't call 30 min ahead like it stated they would. But, they did bring it to my apt door on the second floor. But, when I started to question the damage, things got pushed to me to call the seller. I don't think I will ever buy anything big from Amazon again. I only did it because there is no one local to really buy from.

These came very well packaged and damage free. They hold my very heavy files and they are worth the extra money.

The price on this cabinet was too high!
