I picked this up to help a buddy who had junk behind his home furnance. Yes, sometimes things get put someplace or dropped in very dark tiny places, with practically no way to get those things out! Well, this arrived fast and when I went to my friend's home with this grabber, he didn't look too optimistic. Yes, I understood as this is very thin yet long, and clamps together in two places. Well, after 20mins getting dirt and dust in my face as I pulled out two complete 30" furnace filters, plastic bags and other trash, he was SOLD as I was, on this skinny grabber! EASY to use right off the bat, with magnets for grabbing metal things in tight far-away places! I am glad I picked this up and will be keeping this to use for my home and things lost in hidden places! I only wish this was adjustable instead of locking, so I could adjust the length. Nevertheless, I am sold on this. Just before I used it, I tested this by picked up a medium-sized book, then a smoke/fire alarm, and a few tiny things. Putting the magnets at work, I picked up a screwdriver lying nearby! I am SOLD on this and highly recommend it IF you need to find/pick up lost items in deep dark locations or behind furniture etc.

It is longer than the one I was "given" in the hospital. It really grabs things tightly so I can pick up things that are heavier than a piece of paper or pair of socks.

I love love this folding grabber tool. And what a bonus to get two of them. As I get older, I do not like bending over at much and I have been using these a lot lately. I wish I had these my whole life as it is so neat to be able to pick stuff up so easily. These also have magnets on the sides and what a great extra bonus. You can pick up almost anything with these, however, washers are a little more difficult because they are flat and hard to grasp. With the magnets, I can pick up washers and screws with ease. I kind of have to laugh as I am picking up all kinds of things in my room from tissues to socks that need washed. Again, it does not matter how old you are, these things are great.

I was excited to receive this grabber.The plastic buckle that locks it in place broke within a month of it’s arrival.

I'm 5'4", and reaching items on the top shelves while shopping can be an issue for the vertically challenged. Too many times my favorites and staples that used to be placed near the floor get put at the top shelf, on the tops of stacks of other items. It's a bit embarrassing to need to hunt down a tall stranger and ask for help, but if I have to in order to get that jar of marinara sauce that's well out of my reach I will.I chose this grabber for it's folding capability and ease of carrying, and I do like that aspect of it. However in comparison to other grabbers that I have, the grip on it is weak and limited. I cannot get this grabber around a wider jar, and I do not trust the grip strength for anything heavier than a box of pasta.
