Love the book!!!
I had so much fun reading this book. Some religion ideas can be funny and entertaining. Molloy gives a great general summary about the origin of world religions and find his ideas enlightening to the point of laughter for believes that are too orthodox for me to understand. I like the book so much that will keep it instead of sell back to another student.

Looseleaf!
I ordered this knowing that this was a looseleaf textbook. It was all great until I actually put it in a binder. I kept ripping the pages out.THEN, I found out you can spiral bind textbooks (up to 3 inches) over at Office Depot.I went ahead and called to double check and they did!I spiral bound 2 textbooks for 7.50 (with Nevada state tax)After that, I have a perfectly awesome cheap textbook (:

Good seller
The book came in a reasonable amount of time and in good condition. It was an interesting book, but for the price I would have expected a hardback book or at least some sort of binder. It was shrink-wrapped loose leaf and I had to repunch the holes to get it in a standard binder.

Loose leaf? with TWO holes?
It's entirely possible I mis-read the description, I'll state that up front. However, I ordered this as a textbook rental and was shocked to receive a shrink-wrapped loose-leaf book. On top of that, it's not even a standard size, and the TWO holes are in the top 2/3 of the book. WTF? Where on earth am I going to find an emply notebook that can even hold this?

Easy to Read. Adequately Detailed For An Intro To World Religions Course. Almost Exactly the Same As Previous Version.
This book explains the religions that it covers well enough. You will learn plenty by reading it. There are some places where the author inputs his own political ideology, which is why it only gets 3 stars. If you can overlook that then it's written well and you will have no trouble understanding it. He's also into name dropping the names of dead psychologists, philosophers and artists. Why? I have no idea. Picasso's opinion of African masks has next to nothing to do with the topic of the religion. This is a loose leaf book. A note: There's almost no difference between this book and the one that came before it. The main difference was the images. I bought this and compared it to a scan of the previous edition that I found online and I was unable to find any significant differences. That said, I manage to get this pretty cheap when Amazon lowered the price for one day, and I sold it back to the university bookstore for 80% of what I paid for it. Needless to say, I was satisfied with that arrangement. Apparently the bookstores don't always buy these loose leaf books. Amazon did not offer me anything for it. I ended up not even needing it.

Provides great information
I got this for my World Religions class and the readings gave me a better insight on religions. This text gave me a better understanding of how the religion is practiced, what the beliefs are, and so on.This is definitely great for students taking the same class and being introduced to religions they may have not heard about.

Book was in brand new condition. I didnt realize i had purchased the loose leaf but was totally ok with it. Bought a $.97 binder at walmart and looks great. I'm actually kind of interested finding more loose leaf books its so much easier to study with :)
