Ace PIRATE Murder Mystery Dinner Party Games : A Case of Treasure and Treachery

This game was great fun. Lots of twists and turns that makes it really exciting as it unfolds. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. We went for a full Caribbean theme with The food and decor and everyone enjoyed joining in with the songs that were included in the script. The invites included to send to guests are good as they give a good description of each character and set the scene well. The pirate theme works well for families - we had a 10 and 11 year old join in and they managed to keep up with all that was happening. We also had a couple of younger children in our party who could dress up as pirates and join in with the singing and general merriment!

Great fun. Colourful characters and brilliant costumes, fun to put together. Well written script and story line. One of the best ways to enjoy an evening with friends. Menu suggestion, Caribbean curry, was delicious. Looking forward to trying another theme in the future.

We had a fabulous evening meeting up with our fellow pirates in the Jolly Rodger Inn, Jamaica.This game is less flexible than others we have tried as you can only have 8-10 people and the killer is always the same, however dressing up as pirates is really fun, and the characters are so strong that even the less confident participants performed with style and loved every moment. It is hysterically funny but bit risqué, so perhaps not appropriate for all groups. Highly recommended for a fun evening with friends though!

Only 2 character sheets were included, the rest were missing.The item was shipped as just the box (which arrived damaged) with a sticker on the back. No packaging.

This was a very funny murder mystery, all my friends went to town on the costumes. The theme was great, the box and cards were all well presented. Some of the one liners were amazing and the characters were well thought out. It really gave us a great opportunity to have a laugh!However, we've done better ones:None of us guessed the murderer, there were apparently a couple of key clues we'd not realised which made it impossible to give a good guess.The invite card had 'not a suspect' next to the two additional guests so everyone, them included knew right from the beginning they were not the murderer. This was also repeated in the character booklets. This had not happened with other murder mysteries we'd played. This made it not as fun for them.We were glad we did this over a sat down meal, as otherwise it wouldn't have lasted long.

This game worked very well for 3 generations on NYE. I bought it last minute and hadnt realised that I could have given guests some of their details beforehand. If we get another this is something I’ll definitely do. For the price per person it worked out at decent value for money though of course, one you know the murderer you can’t really play again.

did this for a birthday party, caribbean night, the fact everyone made an effortmade it all worthwhile. not too keen on it being so scripted though, there are some where you can ad lib abit more.

The box was dispatched quickly and arrived in perfect condition, so I had time to send out the invitations. I didn't know what to expect having never done anything like this before. We had a fabulous evening and it was very easy to organise, just follow the instructions. The best bit was as host I had fun too and didn't know who the murderer was.The game flowed very well between the courses of a three course meal and took a good 3 hours in total, which was perfect.We had 10 family members, all ages from 15 upwards and although the younger ones were sceptical to start with, it got everyone sharing a fantastic evening together, which is usually tricky. Most of us dressed up and we decorated the room, so now we have photos as well as memories to treasure.I would recommend this to anyone and will get another game for a future get together.

We loved this one! Thought it was well written and funny.

Bought this a few months ago and finally hosted the party. Either the game wasn’t all that well written or the alcohol made it confusing (or both). We did have a blast bc everyone got into character. Some of the dialog was confusing to read and frankly, I don’t think the script actually leads you to a conclusion for who committed the murder. It’s basically a guess. The clues seemed pretty random. If I hosted another, I would find a different brand.

It was alot of fun! The only downside is they tell the murderer who they are on the last scene, when other games we play ,the murderer dosent even know they are it until after all votes/ guesses are in and then you read a reveal page.

My friends and I do these parties about 4 times a year and this one was great!

We had a good time but it was mainly because of the guests we chose. Unfortunately we found it very confusing and the instructions were very vague. You actually need at least 10 to do this because there are 8 actual suspects and 2 non-suspects who also have input.
