Beautiful Thorns: Boys of Bellerose, Book 4

The Perfect End to a Perfect Rockstar RH
I LOOOOVED this series so much. L O V E D. The growth of the characters was absolutely exceptional, the spice was off the charts and the plot was unbelievably twisty and tense. This was my first time reading a Jaymin Eve - Tate James co-write and when I tell you - I was shocked and amazed. I planned to immediately start reading all of Tate James' books too and woah. These two authors really are an amazing pair, with incredible writing on their own, let alone together. The Boys of Bellerose was 5 big, sparkling, gold stars and I am so glad that I picked up this series. I was so hooked, in fact, that I binge read each book on the day it was released (thank the lovely authors it was rapid release otherwise those cliffhangers would've driven me insane! (WTF TATE!?)).

Good
The series was a real rollercoaster, I am so glad I picked it up just as book 4 came out, the cliff hanger would have driven me mad if I had to wait for installments. I really liked the three guys in the band, not so taken with Angel or Billie. I have learned I'm not into reverse harems, I skipped the sex scenes but the story was really good

Brilliant ending, all the threads nearly tied and happily ever after for all!
I loved how this all came together, the backstories all being put in the past and them all moving on from trauma to find happiness together, I find vampires and shifters more my thing than reverse harem but the story behind the sex is phenomenal and kept me going, absolutely top class writing and another amazing series from a very talented writer

The story flows beautifully and the character development is very thought out and well executed. I would definitely recommend this series

Okay but a bit drawn out
This series was okay, but could have been shorter. Billie was an immature dimwit in my opinion & I couldn't really reconcile my view of her, with the band's view of her, other than her willingness to have sex with them all. It was annoying how many times they all told her how "strong" she was & how "amazing" 🙄. She ended up in dangerous/traumatic situations, but recovered quickly enough to have sex many, many times! I have to say Hades was a much better series and at least had an FMC that was strong-minded & made her own decisions. Her men knew who was boss, & she had their respect. Same with the Guild series.Overall this was okay, but somewhere in the books, someone should have given Billie a slap & told her to grow up!

sensational
And you know if you read any of jaymin Eve or Tate James books that their version of a hea isn’t the sweet lovey dovey but what a naughty hea for sure.Absolutely beautiful series, written incredible and a very addicting, binge worthy story for sure. 10/10

a bit disappointed
It may seem strange to give this 4* then say I was a bit disappointed. In reality this is probably more of a 3* for me but these authors are in my top 5 and couldn’t give lower than a 4. I loved the first book in this series but each book after I found more tedious and by the end I really had to force myself to finish this. Something just didn’t work. There was, can’t believe I am going to say this, too much sauce, to the extent I was skimming some. For most of the series I hated Jace. There were the plot twists you would expect from Tate James but it lacked some grit. The storyline felt slow in some places and rushed in others. This is not of the quality of Madison Kate, Hades or Shadow beast series. It was okay but will not be remembered.

Explosive finale to this excellent series
I’ve been blown away by how utterly awesome this series is and am legitimately sad it’s over. Have loved the emotional journey Billie and the guys have endured to get to their happy place.Themes here are friendship and loyalty, even tho everyone has pain in their past, their bonds have seen them all weather their problems. Love that they all see a therapist to help them all deal as they all definitely need that.Adore Vee, she’s a fantastic role model and friend for Billie, go girl power. The way she and Angelo trust and work together to execute their plans is a thing of beauty. There’s so much happening in this final book, think I’m going to reread all four now, to make sure I’ve missed nothing. This one’s non stop action as all the pieces fall into place. We get the answers to all our questions here as all the “ Boys of Bellerose” all confront and vanquish their demons.Would give this more than 5 stars if I could, it’s just that good.

great characters but the lads deserve better
Honestly, the character description and development of the boys was brilliant. So much so, that I think that one should have won Billie (Jace or Angelo) with all others getting a spin-off book. Not a problem that they all fell for her (though I’m not sure she’s that much of a siren) or that they initially shared her, but then their characters could have developed further when they found their actual true loves. The ending was also rushed after such an amazing plot with its twists and turns. However, Rhett fixing stuff in an incredibly powerful community - all within 8 months? That really could have been fleshed out into a whole other story for Rhett … where it would have been believable. Wilson’s story also wasn’t terribly believable. Nor was the sudden takeover by the group of ladies toward the end. Still 5 stars for a ripping hood yarn, but it was a shame to hurriedly tie up loose ends and where the alpha males are meant to share for the rest of their lives which, given their characters, isn’t terribly believable.

This story…it was fun, it was sad, it was happy…it took my breath away at times. I’m glad I picked it up. The prologue tho…lol.
