High quality set can be used for hours!
My 9 year old daughter received this and enjoyed making her own perfumes. I was impressed but the quality of the materials and fragrances. Being a kid's set, I hadn't expected these to smell very good, but I was pleasantly surprised! I sprayed some of her first perfume on myself and it lasted most of the day! Very impressive! I also loved the variety of perfumes you are able to make, all with clear instructions. It may require a bit of adult assistance to get going and help kids understand the instructions, but once they've made one or two recipes, they should be able to continue for hours with minimal help! Fun set with large variety of perfume options included!

Lots of fun!
There seems to be an issue with buying anything that has to be shipped withfragrance essences. Every time I get it, it's always had some leaking. This was no exception. It doesn't look like anything else leaked, like the coloring bottles and such, which is a good thing or could have really turned into a bad mess. I don't know how much fragrance was in the bottles, but there was barely anything in any of them when I got it and the labels were so slimy with it that they were trying to come off. That being said, my daughter and I were still able to do a couple things and had fun doing them and there were plenty of positive things about this item to cancel out the inconvenience of the leaking fragrances. My daughter and I made a perfume and some bath salts. The kit provided 2 convenient spray bottles for the perfume and had 10 different experiments inside, as well as a lot of information to learn about what makes perfume and everything you might need or want to know about it. Since it's generally for kids, it even went over primary and secondary colors and how to make them. It came with sea salt to make the bath salts, as well as the fragrances and coloring and wooden spatulas to mix it with. It comes with test tubes, measuring cups, squeeze tubes to drip the liquid stuff in, caps for the test tubes, tea bags, other chemical compounds, and even stickers. Everything you need to at least complete a few projects. Other experiments we still want to do require buying a couple things to continue, like rosemary and rose petals. You can also buy your own fragrances and such if you want something different from any craft store, like Michael's or Hobby Lobby. My daughter and I made some vanilla scented bath salts in a lavender color. We did the second experiment in book that mixed the peach, vanilla, and lemon scents together and liked it so we made a whole spray bottle of it and my daughter is tickled that she now has her own perfume all to herself that she helped make.ProsLots of different items to help get you startedThorough booklet of information, including 10 projectsLots of test tubes and such, making it easy to work on projects without worrying about running out of something you need. The projects lead to pleasant outcomes that you can actually use! Most of the items are pretty easy to obtain to keep making more even after you run out of materialsConsThe stickers you have to cut out to use and can't just peel them off, a real pain to doThe fragrances leaked a bit and within a couple projects were already basically gone.Wish they had the yellow coloring too, as only limited to 3 basic colors with blue and red

Great kit for my kids to use together!
My girls are 8 and 12 and I thought this would be a great kit that they could do together and not need much help from me. My older daughter wanted to make bath salts and my younger daughter wanted to make perfume. The directions were simple to follow and I liked that pretty much everything needed was included in the set (though I do wish more spray bottles had been included because I have a feeling they are going to want more pretty soon). The girls started simple for their first try and made vanilla perfume and peach bath salts. Both amazingly smelled great and the kids were ecstatic that they made something on their own. I think with the next batch I'm going to let them use some of my essential oils to create even better scents. All in all I am VERY pleased with the Fun with Fragrance kit and would purchase it again!

Great Product, wonderful gift, gets your kids reading too
My niece loves to make potions so I got her this. What a fantastic way to incorporate learning with fun activities. Even her brother participated. I purchased the explosion version for him and they worked through both boxes together. I didn't even have to pester them about reading the booklet and instructions... they read all of it. Great product. Wonderful Gift. I highly recommend, as I will be purchasing all of the different versions of this.

Good but not Amazing! MUST READ.
This is for my 10 year old daughter. She likes to experiment, and make perfumes out of flowers in our backyard with her sister. I thought this would be perfect for her, with EVERYTHING included. The price seemed reasonable. When we got it, the packaging was kind of a bummer, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Inside it comes with a booklet and many, many experiments. She did one, the massaging oil. It came out pretty good. But most-if not all, need things that are not included!! Make sure of this before buying. We have mint, and we have yet to try it, but like us, some people don't have lavender and jasmine lying around in their backyard. And kids don't have much patience--if you know what I mean. :)Overall she's liking it. We are trying to do the two or three that don't require smellfull herbs. The directions are easy to read, and fun to do, just make sure you have scentful herbs at home.

Great stuff
My daughter insisted that I write a review for this product! She received this on Christmas yesterday. She absolutely loves it. The three little fragrances vanilla, lemon and orange something a very free and adorable to smell. I'm not sure how much chemistry is involved in this but the children really think that this is chemistry. The instructions definitely use some proper chemical names such as sodium bicarbonate which is simply baking soda. Not sure what the tea bags for yet but she is unpacking this product. She really likes it. It even comes with little adorable bottles for her to spray her product on herself. Who knows we may have a little business when this is over. Great stuff
