Sweet and scary - a great read
It's a shame that the lovely cover makes this book look much more like a chick lit romance than it is. The heroine is a teenage girl, and her romance with a boy drives the plot, but the heart of the book concerns 17 year old Cassie's struggle with mental disturbance. As with "There Will Be Lies" Nick Lake writes very convincingly as an American teenager and the story will appeal to readers of both sexes and all ages from about 14-15.

This is a really good book to read, a mixture of love and mystery. A gripping book, worth the read

Totally captivating and enlightening.
A sympathetic and beautiful book that bravely reflects a very human story of love and self realisation.Cass hears voices, one voice actually, as she develops an understanding and acceptance of her mental health we are taken with her as she experiences and remembers savage violence and love.
