Iconic Classic Pro Master
This has been in production since 1994(i asked Citizen) its a icon classic, and good reason too,it is the classic looking divers watch other watch makers copy, easy to read, amazing lume, good rotating bezel that smoothly rotates but doesnt slip, nothing fussy just a good clear screen. Day and date, its hackable for accurate time setting.the crown isnt too awkward to get to and screws down without crossing the threads, interesting how its a leftie too so doesn't dig into the wrist.i fitted my own nylon strap as i find the rubber ones bulky and not comfortable.(Ive since bought a steel bracelet with the divers double locking clasp and fitted that, i bought it from Amazon)I collected eco drive watches but have since started to collect automatics also, its convenient how they dont need to be in the sun to recharge, and its still accurate. The watch is slightly smaller than some of the bigger divers so is comfortable and looks stylish without being over stating. Its a tough rugged watch that can be used for outdoor persuits which it is designed for while also keeping its looks that can still be worn on a special occasion or something formal.10/10 treat yourself you wont regret it.

Bomb proof watch at a very good price
I bought one of these Citizen Promaster automatic dive watches to go to Borneo back in 2001. After 23 years of being banged up at work and holiday it is still going strong so I bought another just for cosmetic reasons really. The watch can be hand wound but Citizens own automatic movement means it winds itself. Water resistant to 200m its is a certified dive watch. It tell the day ( in two languages) and the date. They have been making this watch since the 90's and it really is a lot of watch for the money. The rubber strap is fine but it looks good on a Nato G10 strap too

only recently purchased
I bought the citizens 200m divers watch because I had always wanted a diver style watch, even though I don't dive. I had looked at Omega Seamaster but felt I couldn't justify paying all that money for a watch. The choice then came down to the Citzen or the Seiko 007 divers watch. I was wanting a watch with a bracelet and will probably buy one for this at some point but for the moment I'm quite happy with the rubber strap that came with the watch. I chose the Citizen over the Seiko because the supplier that was selling the Seiko was temporarily out of stock when I was about to purchase and I'd also read reviews that the Seiko had a 'taller' profile than the Citizen and as I don't have massive wrists wanted something a little less in your face. The citizen is a perfect size for me and doesn't look like a kitchen clock sitting on my wrists but is still imposing enough to look good.I have only had it for about 10 days now and I'm very happy with it. It is a solid enough construction and feels really well built. The movement is nice to watch and second hand sweeps around the face with constant precision. The uni-directional bezel has a solid click action and isn't too loose. The luminous 'dots' on the hands and hour markings are big and bright enough when in a darkened room, so I'm assuming they will be even better for someone who is using it for diving. Watch was easy to set and screw down crown worked a treat.I am very happy with this watch and would recommend it anyone who wants to buy a quality divers watch without breaking the bank

A Classic Timepiece
I've been after this watch for quite some time to add to my growing collection of Citizen watches. I was finally able to obtain one and at a great price!I already own another Promaster Diver, which in many ways is the modern interpretation of this watch with an Eco Drive movement, 300m water resistance and a domed crystal. The NY0040 is an absolute classic with a great history having been used by the Italian Marina Militare and the forebear of all the Promaster divers that followed.I was surprised by the size of the piece, especially compared to my other diver. It wears much smaller than the dimensions might suggest. That's fine for me as I have skinny wrists but definitely significantly smaller than my other diver. The finishing on the case is fantastic with nice transitions between polished and brushed surfaces. The case shape is perfect too and does not dig in when wearing. The dial is a lovely Inky gloss black which almost has the effect that the indices are floating, very nice. The movement I have in mine is the Miyota 8004 so hacking and hand-winding, which I appreciate. All in all a very nice timepiece and a must for all watch nerds.Recommended.
